Watching Ellie und you every week (also with Rylie and Olivia) makes me really glad, grateful and calm; somehow I really “crave” these videos and I LOVE to see you in every one of your different cabins, tents, shelters - it truly makes me happy ❤️ You really have a special way of video-making, Jack: so heartwarming, lovely, family-like, grateful and also with a bit of teaching (for ppl like me coming from Europe/across the ocean, I definitely love to learn a lot about Minnesota)! With your really special way of capturing the mood of every place you are…staying, going thru, showing us and let the whole picture speak to everyone at all - it makes me feel like we are with (all of) you out there…in the woods…exploring the world thru your eyes around the year and all the seasons - seeing pines (I love them) and so many more vegetation, hiking and wandering around the trees…or to platforms/points of view and lakes and snow and leaves - meeting (different kind of) animals thru spring, summer, fall and winter - walking on rivers in one season and thru them in the next…or swimming one day in lakes and sitting on them the next when they‘re deeply frozen, while putting holes in them and catching very fresh fish - all of this makes my heart so warm - and ofc I’m absolutely in love with Ellie and your incredible relationship with this sweet and lovely dog…your connection really lights up in every video! And of course - every time you have of your beautiful Rylie and your sweet little Olivia with you…your videos shine and glow even more ❤ You‘re honest…and deeply in love with your little family, nature and with everything what you’re doing - and this is definitely showing in your videos, Jack! Your makeshift tarp shelter is one of the better ones I've seen. It's simple and sturdy. Using bungee cords really seems to tighten up the structure. Very impressive.

This brings up memories! Lovely video!! I went camping with my son one time about 4 years ago......hiked up a mountain trail and he brought an OPEN air tent! NOT different then what you are sleeping with pretty much! However no heater and it was in the 20s. I had on a goosedown coat, mohair hat and a cashmere scarf.... I didn't even sleep in my 40s temp bag...it was supposed to be in the 40s..Instead it was snow and we had a campfire in the morning...made a decent breakfast with coffee. Fed little birds and broke up camp...going in our way. His big Australian shepherd kept me warm!

You made a really cosy shelter Jack, it is such a shame the hut is so run down and the toilet broken down, the table with the benches looked like it was still in good condition. I love Ellie's coat she looks so cosy and warm in it, really pleased you put her bed the other side, especially when you got the blow back coming in. What a wonderful way to wake up and have Ellie giving you kisses. She is the sweetest dog and the best camping mate. Thats a wonderful idea about restoring the hut, as you say it is a memorial one so it would be really nice to save it from just rotting away x

That shelter 💔 is such a fine commentary on the USPS and the V. J. C.'s. The plaque is in better shape than the hut 🛖. Very ingenious and resourceful to build a make shift accommodation for yourself and Ellie. All the comforts of home 🏡 with good food "the ramen bomb" 💣 lol. You need to eat more. Would snow ❄️ shoes have helped any? Just a shame the condition of that shelter. With all the resources of the sorry arse DNR available, you think it would be well cared for. They need to put some kind of folding gates on it to keep the animals out. Another great use of our natural resources. Get vlog Jack and Ellie.
