I need a waterproof deadbolt. This will be on my new shed - it has full size fiberglass doors so I want a good solid weatherproof deadbolt but wanted to get one with pushbutton code option as well as a key. Is this waterproof?

My BE365 is always in vacation mode. After putting my code in I can not unlock or lock the thumbturn just keeps turning without engaging to lock or unlock. Any advise.

Hi and thank you for your helpful tips! One question. I am trying to use this for Airbnb and want to be able to delete the code after user comes. Can I delete the code that I have just created after a tenant leaves, similar to how you delete the two default user codes that come with the lock? I know that there are 19 different possible code you can create. But I wanna be able to delete any of those codes that ICreate so that if I have a tenant come, I can delete it once they leave. Or if I have a maintenance person come, I can also delete that code after they leave. Thanks for your suggestions!

Luckily I clean mine and live 3/4 mile away. Trustworthy people knowing how to work it after seeing thia video n having this specific lock with 2 rentals in the books mainly to bass fisherman coming to fish the local famous lake. So yeah he knows what's best just in my situation this works perfect

Great video. Do you have suggestions ?because as soon as I put four digits the Schlage button goes red as if it’s the wrong code. I don’t have time to ad 6 digit programming code.

Thank you for your prompt reply ! It was installed a couple of years ago by a renovation guy. I have been using the access code to lock the door whenever i leave the house without knowing i could press the button and turn the knob to lock. Until I watched your video today afterwards I tried but it didn"t work. Please kindly forward step one of the user guide to me, much appreciated ! Thanks again.

Hello, how are you doing. I have a lock just like I don't know, or maybe you mentioned it but I don't quite understand English and subtitles are bad. My point and my question is whether this lock is sturdy or against the water? forgive my ignorance but I don't want to make the holes in my door without be safe and create a problem for making the mistake, I hope you can answer me.

The lock is ok to use on a door. The outside of the lock is weather resistant.

We have new HOA board members and the old board members still have the code. If we change the code, will the old code still work, or do we need to take out the old, unwanted code?

Reset the lock. That will get it back to the factory default codes. Search our channel for reset schlage.

Did you just install the BE365? It sounds to me like the cam wasn't aligned correctly. Check out step one of their use guide.

You talked about locking the lock from the outside by simply pressing the Schlage button to activate the lock, but you did not explain how to program that feature in if it is turned off.

I got it wrong too... New corrected instruction: Change the programming code* Enter the original six-digit Program Code (Do not press the Schlage button) Wait for the Schlage button to blink orange three times + three beeps. Press the Schlage The keypad numbers turn blue Press “3” on the keypad The Schlage button to blink orange another three times + three beeps Enter the new 6-digit program code- Wait for the schlage to flash orange three times + three beeps. Enter the same new programming code again The Schlage light turns green + one long beep for verification To test: enter the new program code and add a new user code or delete an old user code.

This unit and somethings wrong with it. When I type in the four digit pass code I can unlock the door and then I type in the four digit pass code to lock the door by simply pushing the Schlage button and the door automatically unlocks. It’s no sense. There’s no way to require the code to unlock the door. The Schlage button is the magic button to unlock the door every time. I don’t understand it. I also don’t know where the receipt is to bring it back to the store I bought it from

Thanks again ! I've done the factory reset, the button works to UNLOCK only NOT TO CLOSE. IN REVERSE. It means anyone can open the door from outside to open the door by pressing the button. VERY STRANGE ??? PLEASE HELP TO FIX THIS PROBLEM>

Yep. When you buy a home, get new keys made and reset and change the codes in any smart locks.

It's a schlage so it's one of the better home locks. But it's definitely bumpable and pickable. There are a number of electronic locks now that don't use key overrides. Bump proof.

Lol the ONE THING I wanted to do was disable the Schlage button auto lock feature (8:20), and you skipped right over how to do it......

Sorry about that. Instructions are below. Why would you want to disable it? Enter programming Code Wait for Schlage button to give 3 Orange Lights + 3 Beeps Press Schlage button Keypad turns blue Press 7 Schlage button will show 1 Green Light + 1 Long Beep if successful.

@@LocksmithRecommended Thanks for the response! My auto-lock feature was not working, and trying to program the auto-lock feature was not working, so I thought disabling it might actually enable it. I didn't install it, so I didn't have the instructions. I later found that the cam was installed incorrectly at a 90-degree angle to what it needed to be (arrow was not pointing down.) Here is the actual instruction from www.micasaverde.com that took less than two minutes and fixed the issue immediately: Here's how you tell if you installed it wrong w/o disassembling: If you open the door, extend the deadbolt (locked position) and press the Schlage button on the keypad, the keypad SHOULD turn blue. If the keypad doesn't light up at all and the Schlage button blinks green, then the cam is in the wrong position and you can easily fix it- -With the door open, and the deadbolt RETRACTED (unlocked position), remove the inside cover. -Disconnect battery (this won't reset any codes) -Remove internal baseplate (where battery resides) completely from Popsicle stick bar. -Ensure the cam is vertical, with arrow pointing down. -Reassemble the baseplate with the two screws -Connect the battery -Screw back in the inside faceplate with the two screws The Lock and Leave feature should now work. Any of the codes you had should still also remain.
