It's not without it's problems

my dad owns a 997.1 carrera 2s manual, dark blue, same interior as you, and turbo S wheels from factory.. we have had the oportunity to drive a ton of great sport/supercars over the years... but there is something about the beauty and elegance in perfect contrast to the raw sound and driving experience its unmatched... no car has ever felt and looked so good... I feel the 997 was really the last generation where it was more a car than a computer, insanely light, NA 3.8L flat six with just the right amount of power.. honestly think for driving expirience it was the generation of the 911

I have a 997.1 4s convertible absolutely love it. Like you I bought with my heart which a year of ownership so far all seems ok. Problem we have in Ireland is that there is not a huge amount for sale so beggars can’t be choosers 😂 love the centre exhaust and the aero kit. Really stands out. Keep on loving the car. I’m very similar to your self. Sold my mk 7 golf r had that 8 years from new which I did modify over the years. Sold it back in July & now have my first 6 year old Porsche 718 Boxster S in larva Orange..luv it.

I had a manual 997.1 C4S in black . Great cars . Took it to Germany, Track days, and obviously plenty of meets . Like the aerokit and centre exhaust 👍🏻

Nice vlog and I like how you mentioned the mods and how much work was needed and how much you paid for. So this gives us an idea for potential buyers out there looking for a 997 Porsche. I think your car looks perfect and will even look better if you install some 19's or 20 inch BBS wheels. Looking forward to more content on this beauty!!

Same car history as me - and i own a 997 now- daily a mk4 r32 still today as you say they are seriously well built cars , also have a mk2 golf 16v tucked away for winter. Do miss the corrado though. I can understand why you purchased it as the aero kit is great.

Your garage makes sense. It has a flow to it. VW, VW, VW, Ford, VW, VW, VW, Porsche. unlike my garage (1997 Mazda Protégé… 1997 Mazda MX-5… 2004 Honda Civic EX Coupe… 2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe… 2008 Acura TSX 6 Speed… 2019 Toyota C-HR (my wife and I had a kid and we panicked lol)… 2020 Volvo XC40… 2019 AWD Mazda3 Premium Sedan… 2021 Tesla Model Y… 2000 Saab 9-5 Wagon… 2001 BMW Z3 3.0i 5 Speed.) Still have the Saab, BMW, Mazda and Tesla. Currently looking for a 997.2 4S which I would be selling the Mazda and Saab to acquire.

Im definitely lookinv to buy a 997.1 in 24. Thd gt3 reaf bumper and exhaust finishes the aero kit off perfectly. Can i ask what the cost was...i too wanted to change the stock resf bumpers but originally thougjt turbo rear bumper to avoid doing exhaust?

The stance is what I am loooking for on my 997.2. Which Bilstein setup did you use? Did 911SBD fit it for you?

I think mine are B16. It works with the sports mode button as well. I took it out on track and it was amazing. Soon as you switch it on you can feel it all firm up. Yeah they fitted it as well and set it up
