Great stuff PB, with the expansion vessels, we fit a purpose made expansion vessel service valve by caleffi, it has a tamper proof lock off isolator, a drain off point, it’s all in one piece and it also incorporates a union connector to attach to the vessel itself. Cheaper and neater option I would say. Keep up the videos !

As an engineer I have my reservations about those style of hydro tap, I know a few people who have been scaled or have had people over to their house and have been scaled as they weren’t au fait with its use , great video Pete 👍🏻

Good stuff, great to meet you at installer too. I do like mlcp, shame they don't make any press fittings for it too as well as the push fittings. My whole house is Uponor which is a good product but it's 16mm so you can interchange it with anything easily.

Hi mate IME a kitchen fitter and just 1 for the future. You can't fit boiling water taps with composite sinks. This is stated by the sink manufacturer. We have had 2 crack on us now.

6:53 plumbers putty is a better option here if you don't want to use the gasket it comes with.

Question is mlcp pipe and pex with aluminium the same when it comes to flexibility? I need it for my pipe bending practice but don’t know which one to get???

What do you plumbers make of flexi's? Do you ever see them fail? I have a fair few in my place but I've read some horror stories about them recently.

Yeah it looks neater but it’s under the floorboards so not a big deal. I think Speedfit is great and I don’t agree with you saying that it’s unreliable. Whole Europe is using PEX pipes and fittings for decades and it’s all working just fine.

Weird that push crap. Why not just use MLCP press like Emmeti or Flamco, pretty much a same and sure no leak also cheaper I think . Good video informative 👌

100% oxygen proof pipe, flexibility, less components to name a few. Pretty much all the reasons you would use mlcp over speedfit / hep.

@@tomadams94 speedfit is oxygen proof and probably more versatile than tectite.. I just don't get it other than being offered good terms to sponsor it on his channel, it's been around for ages and hasn't caught on.. It's also a nightmare to remove after a while.

@@chester6343 speed fit pipe is not 100% oxygen proof like mlcp, no plastic is. Even though they sell it as “barrier pipe”. I do agree though it has been around a while and I prefer to go the full way and use mlcp and fittings not halfway (tectite and mlcp).

@@tomadams94 do you use Tectite? Have you had any issues? I am looking at using it this week if BES have the stock. It would be my first time as the customer wants a secondary return and I cannot use copper as the joist are in bad shape and running the wrong way.
