That bank of gas meters reminded me of a video from Brussels, KZfaqr Le jeune artisan. Same setup but absolutely nothing labelled so he told his mate to disconnect the hob and open the gas tap while he watched the meters to see which one started spinning like crazy as the gas went into the room from the open pipe. What a nightmare! I mean oldschool plumbers/gas fitters do have some tricks up their sleeves that give Joe Average the creeps, like leak testing gas connections with a match or unscrewing a main gas shutoff live while having someone plug the open pipe with a wet rag but just deliberately creating a massive gas leak is definitely another level.

that plant room is an impressive bit of work but as someone else said complete waste of money, but then if u have surplus cash u need a toy to spend it on, biggest problem with something like that is there are very very few people with the necessary knowledge to fix things when they go wrong. Nice neat work as always on the boiler but how did u cement the flue up and put the collar on it?

The refrigerant boils/evaporates in the evaporator coils, extracting energy from the moving air to do so. The resultant gas is compressed (making it hot) and passed to the plate where it heats the water. Pretty simple stuff really…

No criticism here from me but to put it into perspective PB and the guys he works with get boilers, pipe etc at prices we could only dream of. It's the only way having 3/4 guys on a standard domestic install can be profitable. All power to him but it does not equate like for like to your average plumbing firm. Perks of his success.

@@ArmstA79 it's supposed to be no more than 1mb drop I think but the minimum working pressure for those boilers 17.5mb or something on the MIs so it would be okay but technically it's NCS, would like a more experienced engy to chime in, I'm newly qualified so may be wrong tbh
