I’m in the same boat mate. I’m always on my own at work and it’s sad to say that loneliness does affect you. I can’t wait to get home to my family each day but sometimes if I’m down then that affects that too. It can feel like a downward spiral but you have to be strong as a man even when the chips are down 🙏

I know how you feel Pete, I’ve just made one of the biggest decisions by closing down my business and going to work for someone else, less stress, no paperwork and more time for the family, you only live once. So choose wisely, the old stigma men are fine.. we get over it all. But as your top says boys set sad too. We just need more awareness and accept the help for mental health. Your a top Bloke,I always look forward to your videos. The wife’s says I’m boring ,fixing and fitting boilers by day and watching people fix boilers at night 😂

I'd watch you fixing a toilet handle. You are a top bloke, and think I said before your the reason I fell back in love with plumbing and having more pride in myself and my work. Spring is coming and, speaking only for myself, I find that a tonic. Winters a grind at the best of times but at the height of the ‘panny-d’ I was really struggling and one day I just said ‘feck this’ and drove myself to Arizona (from Oregon) for a month in an Air BnB. Complete transformation. I was fortunate to have the $$ but it confirmed something I’d never believed before - S.A.D is real.

Hey Pete I enjoy all your content and am an avid follower.. I understand you may go to the dark places at times some do some don’t and your way of life as a heating / gas / plumbing engineer is a very stressful job and mostly alone with your thoughts always when invading someone else’s castle so to speak it’s not like you work in a familiar surrounding as every door you knock one is a new stress at risk of failure and potential damage claims etc it can be fun but it takes it’s toll buddy … you’re not alone and it’s great you have the personal courage to share your doubts and fears … I can only say may your courage grow stronger with age and your maturity can only help those that need it in all ways I’ll finish with a thank you from me. a 76 year old retired plumber/ musician … Rick 🍺cheers !
