Compilation of Persona series clips of myself beating The Reaper from each games, P3P, P4G, and P5R. The reason why I picked P3P over P3FES is because I wasn't able to recover my almost half a decade old save files, plus Portable is the most accessible version of Persona 3 right now, only waiting for P3Reload to take its place when it finally comes out. Also the P3P clip is recorded on PPSSPP upscaled to 4K with texture mods because I don't own the port on Steam. So anyways, here are some bunch of clips of beating The Reaper from the respective games without Armageddon, Hassou Tobi, and Myriad Truths. All these were done in the highest difficulty settings from each games.
P3P: Didn't need Armageddon. Thunder Reign is broken as it always has been. With the introduction of direct commands in this version of the game, we're able to abuse Thunder Reign with Vorpal Blade (which deals x2 dmg in Great condition) that the protagonists and Junpei can learn. Also, Fuuka's Oracle (a skill no one uses lol) was reworked in P3P to be able to cast party-wide Charge, the funny thing is it still uses the same pop ups from FES, where Oracle works entirely different and inherently worse, they copy-pasted the whole thing and it actually made it out into the 2023 ports of the game. And yes, Oracle's "All ailments cured!" means Fuuka casts a party-wide Charge despite the misleading pop up.
P4G: Classic Persona 4, just spam physical attacks. Yu, Yosuke, Chie, and Kanji are beasts. However, I didn't bring Yosuke because Yukiko has the ability to outdamage him due to her ability to learn Mind Charge. Yosuke cannot learn Power Charge which holds back his damage potential for a shorter fight like this. In prolonged fights like Margaret or the final boss, Yosuke is just better because he can abuse Rise's party-wide Charge by having access to both great physical and magic attacks which let him utilize both of the Charges effectively. I didn't use Hassou Tobi because as the clip shows, I didn't need it. One thing that shocked me the most is knowing that the P3 characters (P3 is mostly magic-meta) actually deals higher phys damage thanks to Vorpal Blade having the x2 dmg on Great and higher critical dmg multiplier than P4G's. P3's Great Vorpal Blade is not stronger than P4/P5 Hassou Tobi of course.
P5R: I didn't want to use Myriad Truths for the same reason why I didn't use Armageddon/Hassou Tobi in the previous titles. With Izanagi-no-Okami out of the question, the regular Izanagi barges in and takes the show. Izanagi's trait God Maker is really broken to abuse Ryuji's trait Eccentric Temper (phys dmg x1.8) chance of activating. You can still pull off getting the Eccentric Temper procs on both Brave Blade and Laevateinn without Izanagi, just gamble and be lucky I guess. The only let down in this version of The Reaper is that he can't be critted and only takes more damage to almighty attacks which is why the Black Viper at the end deals a really high damage. Although The Reaper being crit immune may actually be a good thing for balance because the Merciless difficulty in this game just gives the player more advantages.
