☺ ABOUT THIS SERIES
In this series the Royal Enfield Himalayan is ridden roughly 2,000 miles (3,219km) to the northern coast of Alaska to the infamous Prudhoe Bay and neighboring Deadhorse, AK. At 70°N latitude, the "Top of Alaska" can be an unforgiving place, especially in late-summer and early fall when the weather abruptly shifts as the seasons fight for dominance. Winter of course always prevails over summer and fall. Snow, slush and ice were in fact on the itinerary for this adventurous trip.
As my first "true" motorcycle adventure, complete with hundreds of miles of gravel and mud, both the Himalayan and I were pushed to some limits, if only briefly.
Join the ride and see for yourself how the Royal Enfield Himalayan holds up to a first-ever attempt at reaching Prudhoe Bay, one of the most northerly area accessible by road in the world. Expect to see some wonderful scenery, spectacular wildlife, and many friendly faces as the adventure unfolds.
I'd like to say a special thank you to ‪@MoskoMoto‬ for helping me outfit my Himalayan with their adventure gear that truly sets the standard for soft motorcycle luggage and equipment. You guys are the best! Thanks so much!

Your traveling companion mentioned that the attraction of the Himalayan was it’s affordability. That may be true for some people. I chose my Himalayan the same way anyone might choose a travelling companion. I enjoy my time on the Himalayan, it is easy to manage on the worst roads, it is easy to push around in a parking lot, it is good on gas and it has great range. I like question that was raised, “Where would you go if you could go anywhere?” I don’t know. Recently I have been exploring back roads and ghost towns on the eastern slopes of the Rockies in Alberta. Next week I’m going into BC for an adventure bike gathering where I hope to expand my off road riding skills. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for posting the vaccination video. 'Taking one for the herd because most of us need to; so we can move onward to a brighter future. I'm J&J Vaccinated, because that is what the Kingdom of Kern gave me. 'California is opening just like the Great State of Alaska! Two beautiful places for exploring on two (or four) wheels.

Me and the wife (both 54 yrs) have had our 2 astrazeneca Vaccinations in the UK with no problems suffered (apart from the feelings of a hangover on the first one). Just waiting for restrictions in Europe to be lifted , then we will be off touring again on our new motorcycles, I have a 2021 Himalayan and wife has a 2021 Suzuki sv650 waiting :D Hope everyone accepts the vaccine offered , then we can get restrictions lifted all over the world , get back to normality and we can all go have fun again :)

Bro this was your best vid I've seen yet. Two key parts for me was when Adam said he had a question for you, and when you hit the 20 miles to Deadhorse sign and popped in the flashback summary clips. I felt like I was there with ya. Great storytelling. I did the Canadian version (in a truck/camper) the Dempster Hwy to Tuktoyaktuk and the Arctic Ocean. Fortunately, no restricted access (lame) and you can drive right to it. I took a VERY brief swim, dunk, and out as well. You earned this ----> subbed.

The Himalayan has held up well, and outperformed my expectations on my last couple of trips. It really is a great bike for the long, gravel roads. Granted, even our gravel and dirt's roads are fairly well maintained. I've been able to do long trips with my wife on the back, even on the gravel with some moderate hill climbs. Despite my compass on the fritz (haven't attempted a reset yet), I've been happy with the purchase.

Hi Justin, I immensely enjoy your videos and the spectacular scenery. You made a big effort filming and editing and it gives all of us an appreciation not only of the challenges you had, but also a realistic understanding of what nature looks like as well as human infrastructure in the Alaskan arctic. Thanks for putting so much into your videos. I am leaving next week on my Tenere 700 to Australia's southern most point, the South East Cape in Tasmania. It is only 43 deg south and a very different type of trip, but I am sure that my Mosko Moto (kzfaq.info) equipment will keep my gear as well protected in the southern wilderness as it did for you in the Arctic. Take care and I look forward to your next episode.

Great editing, and really good film. Watched quite a few videos of motorbike adventures to Prudhoe Bay. Yours stands out for two reasons - Editing and Himalayan - as I have one too, and am planning a post Covid trip around Europe, next year. Was going this year, but Covid got in the way, as it, probably, did for lots of other people's plans.

This trip finally helped me see the Himalayan for what it truly is, and where it shines. Was a great ride! Yup, Covid is a downer. Worked out well that I took so long to get these videos posted. Better viewing for people under stay-at-home orders. Thanks for the compliment Geoff. Ride safe!

Climate change! No more mosquitoes! Just kidding. This is one of the reasons why I went so late in the season. No more bugs! Ride was done around August 18. 👍🦟

Thanks for doing this. I watched before, I think I enjoyed it better the second time. I hope you’re doing well. I do have one trip planned for the Arctic. Yellowknife it seems but there are many factors at play.

@@KARMAkazeMoto Hi, well I'm looking into a trip to cap-nord in Norway next June with a friend but my wife has reminded me that it's my mums 90th birthday on the 6th of June so I will be going to the UK for that and Norway in July if this corona thing has passed by and Laurent can get time off in July.... Nothing is that simple as you well know! Looking forward to receiving the tank bag although I'll not be using it again time soon as we're still in lockdown!

@@KARMAkazeMoto I have a 2005 gs 1200 that I've had since new. I ride a mixture of on and off road when I say off road I'm not talking motoX more forest tracks and mountain passes. I'm thinking of getting a smaller bike for this as, as I'm getting older the Gs seems to be getting heavier, I'm thinking of the CB500X. If for some reason the tank bag doesn't fit my friend Bernard and his Himalayen will get an extra special Christmas present as he is the guy who switched me on to your channel at the time of the first video of your trip home with the Enfield.
