In this video I finish up the desert section of the PCT and arrive at Kennedy meadows. I pass mile 700, relax with other hikers, and get ready to take on the snowy beasts to my North! Thanks desert section of the Pacific Crest Trail! It’s been fun!

Wow...those blisters were painful to see. Can't imagine how you can still walk with them. The foot growth is a combination of swelling and falling arches. Best wishes to you.

Those are some gnarly blisters!!! I hope you can find some better shoes. I wear Columbia Vitesse - the boots and the slip-ons. Neither kind rubs. 🚶

Maybe you could try compression socks to keep your feet from swelling? There are ones in merino wool :)

Thanks for taking the time to share. I love your commentary and positive attitude. It is fun to follow along even though I wish I was one of those on trail.

I hope that you either cut holes in the side, or changed how you laced them! LOL- I just saw you did cut them. Luko tape- all these things will help.

I wore a size 8 1/2 to nine shoe. then I thru hiked the AT twice and 1K miles of the PCT. Now I wear a size 11 1/2. Love your videos! I can't walk anymore due to Lyme Disease but I love hiking via your videos. Good luck and hike strong.

Just like a rock climber has huge hands from using his fingers are all the time, your feet will grow because of the muscle growing from walking.

Unbelievable how much your feet have grown. There's a lot of great shoes and I own most of them, but the Altras have the nice wide front to them. Just sayin Take care.

Congratulations on reaching Kennedy Meadows! Well done. I admire how you carry on in style regardless of blisters, shoes, and all the trials that hikers face. All the best as you approach the Sierras.

Oh...and I also would elevate my feet above my heart when I slept. This really helped a lot. Buen camino. Michael from Ireland.

My cousin fell of the wheel well from the back of a truck and the truck ran her over. Her dad was driving. It was TERRIBLE. We had been riding like that for years... Ever since I could remember.

It is crazy what is happening to your feet. I had the same when I walked the camino and discovered that I was retaining water in my feet due to dehydration????? (I still do not understand that one). Maybe if you try drinking more water?? It worked for me is all I can say. I wish you the best of luck. Michael from Ireland.

I suppose an advantage of the older shoes made of leather or canvas is that they could be stretched out by wearing them wet.......sure cant stretch out the new ones

I guess your feet were young and inexperienced down in Campo and now they are growing up into adult feet getting ready for the Sierra.

OK so who is the mini hiker at 2:06 who ever he is they do not live in England 🦘 The foot size increase indicates you had a very static life before hiking ones feet spread out to accommodate the extra use (distance) and weight (pack) It is also a responce to the need for extra blood supply as they are in constant use 👣 There can be a problem with salts balance but your feet do not look expanded in that way (puffy) You have long (eligant beautiful) toes who need room and I note that giving them just a little more gave great relief for not only are they bigger but also have more distance between them (given the chance) and like to flex more than you are allowing which I am sure they are telling you all about 😡 I find blisters on the heel not nearly as toublesome as ones on the toes which can easily render it fifficult to continue so you can be greatful only your heels are a little damaged ! Good luck with the next section look forward to your video 😍😘
