Cetrion loved her mother too greatly. It ensured her blind obedience. There was a point when she needed to turn on Kronika for her own self interest, and the "greater good", but she chose to betray herself instead.

I thought in the MortalKombat Universe, the elder gods must give consent in order to bring someone back to life for their second life? Cetrion should have mention it 🥺

The elder gods are gone in this part of the timeline, removed from existence by Kronika with her hourglass. The 2nd time Raiden consults them, Cetrion is the only one who remains.

That's not what she is, she would need to absorb her brother essence for that. Unless it has already found his way in her. But as long as she remain pure goddess of lightt, becoming darker will only weaken her.

They should’ve made her turn on kronica in aftermath considered she’s supposed to be the goddess of virtue. I mean she literally just repeats what she did in the original story mode, same with the revenants. What a waste.

I wonder if shang tsung was so desperate for power and souls, why didn't he steal cetrion's soul just right there instead of taking it with kronika's soul on the way? Fujin would not stop him in this one.

@@UrMom19954 she was maipulated and used by her mother, therefore becoming "evil", but she is a good soul with good intentions. too bad the result is what matters
