Yes, definitely interested in the pauldron and backpack templates and video. Well done in the armor as well. Looks very good.

That's incredible - nice work. Great stunt suit for action stuff. Would rather fall over in that than an abs one. Amazing job.

Thanks! And yes, it's more comfotable and gives greater freedom of movement :)

Yup, I have an EVA Astra Militarum costume that's practical for airsoft use. The trickiest part is finding a paint that will tolerate the flexing without cracking.

Remember in Canada going around with a replica gun, even for Stormtroopers, could get you 5-10 soon!

Even though I'm using white EVA foam; what exterior paint would you all recommend? I know about the high gloss clear coat to finish, but what's a good rec for the paint? BTW, I also know about using primer (Mod Podge) before I paint....

Yay!! You made another video!! This is super helpful. How would you suggest I make the armor look more shiny and polished?
@trunks644310 ай бұрын
Gloss clear coat.
@TristanMaker10 ай бұрын
Exactly! Just skip the weathering and apply a gloss clear coat over the white base
@theace160210 ай бұрын
Give it like three coats of high gloss clear coat

Thank you for the final video! I’m working on this to finish by the 28th, up to the chest now. I haven’t done any sanding or painting yet on the helmet, I figured I’d do everything together. If I’m going for a clean look, should I use modeling paste to fill in the seams like the helmet? Or will the mod podge still take care of that all for the armor?
@TristanMaker9 ай бұрын
Cool! Definitely use the modeling paste if you don't plan to weather the armor.
@silveridaten34409 ай бұрын
@@TristanMakerThank you! So use the paste to fill the seams, sand that (like with the helmet), then go with the mod podge and paint? It seems less involved than the helmet, giving me hope I’ll get it done in time.

Any tips on securing Velcro? I’m having the worst time with the Velcro peeling off when I try to disconnect pieces from each other.
@TristanMaker9 ай бұрын
I use industrial Velcro with a sticky backing. I apply contact cement where I want the velcro to be, peel back the plastic and stick the velcro on the part. The bond should be really strong this way.

In your Clone Trooper armor video, you recommended house paint. Should we go with that or the mod podge? Or does it matter?
@TristanMaker10 ай бұрын
Both will work but when using thick foam like 8 or 10mm, I find that the Modpodge method works better for me.
@Ryanthelion79910 ай бұрын
Ok that sounds good. What do you think of the spray Modpodge?

At 3:34; I can see there are cuts (or grooves) on the inside part of your breastplate. Is that a step that I missed somehow?
@TristanMaker9 ай бұрын
No, those are not necessary. I added them to help the part bend because I forgot to heat form it before assembly.

Oh, my God, this is horrible! I wanted to make this suit when I got back to China, and it turns out rust oleum spray paint costs $80 a can in China.
