I have bought a 2007 Subaru WRX! In this video I will be painting it. Ill be sharing how much it cost me as well as what the damage was. Hope you enjoy!

Great job man 👏, my only thought on this would have to be the fade on the C pillar. I think it would have been a good idea to prep and carry the finish down to the A pillar. It greatly reduces your chances of having the paint flake off in the future.

I am about to go full respray with my bugeye wrx original world rally blue 02C and definitely keeping the gold alloys. After market upgrades alloys but staying gold for sure. Best colour match imo. RIP colin mcrae. richard burns

Great video! However all this effort why didn’t you remove the door handle, window door trim, and roof trim to get a even more proper paint finish? The paint and clear extends to under the window trim, behind the door handle. Might cause clear coat to peel eventually. Great work! Love to see WRXs get a second lease on life

I just painted my front bumper for my wrx world rally blue, and it turned out a little darker than the car...any tips or ideas on why that would happen?

It’s normal for paint to have slight variances even if mixed by code. Blending to adjacent panels is a common practice in the automotive paint industry. Otherwise you have to custom match the paint with spray out cards.

Where is the tint cost. Rally blue is a tri-coat paint. Can you send the link to where you got the paint?

Tim Ryder I mix my own paint In House where I work at the shop. What I sprayed was only a base coat clear coat variant. It wasn’t a tri coat. But the brand of paint I used is GenRock. Or Genstar. Same brand. Hope this helps. I’m sure other paint brand have it as a tri coat mix.
