This week I am building a Bird feeder/Bird Table from pallet wood. Quite a simple construction, that once completed will complement any sized garden

All I have is a board nailed onto a treated 4x4 post , I looked on utube to get some idea for a roof to protect bird feed from the rain , this is the first video that popped up & it’s perfect, exactly what I’m looking for , Thankyou for sharing & May God Bless

Great project. Shows what can be done with pallet wood. Do you have the measurements you used please?

Pallets are free so we avoid a fee, nicely made Martin 👍👍👍

I would have never thought about leaving it open... I've had to remove an adventurous squirrel out of my feeder twice because he got stuck inside! I had never even thought of this as an option. Great way to think outside the box!

I love to see them feeding, we have quite a variety in our garden. My favourite is a very teratorial Robin. What's your next project pal?

Great job. My uncle used to make a lot of bird tables from scraps of wood and sell them from the front of the house. This certainly looks a lot sturdier than those ones. Out of interest what did you finish it off with?

Cheers Paul, they are definitely robust, probably need a sturdy coat of varnish to protect it from the great British weather. 👊👊

Got to love pallet Wood, aye 👍 What did you coat it with? Looked like the spray had a slight brownish tinge to it. Nice work, mate 👌

Thanks Bill. It's such an underrated material, not everyone's taste I know. It was a cheap clear spray lacquer, I hadn't noticed it going dark until you said. 👊👊👊

@@MGMakes underrated, is an understatement...hahaha 😂 I'm almost finished my workshop up the backyard. New floor, insulated the ceiling and walls, then cladded both, all with free pallets. I've saved a ton of money I didn't have, by using free pallets. 👍

Thanks buddy, the lacquer holds it own, perhaps a marine varnish next time to completely seal the wood 🤔
