Thank you, I wish I could’ve watched this video three years ago. I was explaining a narcissist the way he hurt me and he said I was attacking him and stopped talking to me. A full 56 year old grown man saying it like a 15 year old. He’s irredeemable. Thank you for this info really.

Same for me. I told him he was giving me mixed signals and I needed clarification. A very covert narcissist, he refused to talk to me and I am now discarded 😢.

@@susanw7924 you know what my only solace is? Every time I have flashbacks about the discard, and about all the power dynamics narcissists play to make you feel always guilty, I think I’m saying to him: “I’m at peace because I KNOW AND TOTALLY ACCEPT THAT YOU DON’T LOVE ME and I’m ok with myself because I know I won in this situation, since I did love unconditionally so I own you absolutely nothing.” Hope it helps, remembering how they always feel victimized and attacked when you’re trying to make them realize they’re the ones hurting us is always frustrating to me. But I immediately think of this and I find peace by doing so. I do get a little sad too, but I feel vindicated in the end.

@@rebekahjette6304 so it was not just me then because although I am pretty sure she was a narc it was only my conclusion after what I went through, that was a often one I heard from her, I am guessing you was also called the narcissist at some point

@@tonyconnor5691 After I asked him if he knew what narcissism was and then quietly said that I thought that explained his behavior...yes, then he called me a narcissist.

@@rebekahjette6304 same as me i said that to her and ever since then i was called the narcissist and tbh the response from her was quite frightening, i didnt know at the time i should not have said that to her as it would cause this reaction, i honestly thought at the time this was going fix some issues and we could work through them

This was so immensely helpful. My ex was extremely covert... and he was a genius at it. I don't think prior to this video I truly understood how absolutely desperate his need for attention was, but upon reflection, he absolutely had to ruin every occasion by keeping everyone focused on the negativity he'd create.

2:34 as I listened to this I could barely breathe. It felt like you had been a fly on the wall the last 17 years. Everything you said described my partner’s behaviour EXACTLY. He has said from about one year in “I feel attacked”. I could be commenting on something in a completely neutral “oh look at that” way and he’d think it was a dig at him. No matter how many times I told him please don’t read into what I say he still believed there was a hidden meaning in everything. I’m exhausted and I’m presently backing off and trying to wean myself off him. I’m deeply trauma bonded. This isn’t the first time I’ve tried to leave him. My best record was five months before I succumbed to the hoovering. 🤦‍♀️ Thank you so much 🙏🏼

I know a narcissist whose victim-mentality, lack of accountability, entitlement, etc. lost her a job promotion she'd been waiting 15 years for (she spent all these years telling everyone she was getting that position.) Her mindset pretty much self-sabotaged, but she can't see it as such because in her mind she was always the good guy.... Is this how villains are created?

My Ex was paranoid and jealous because I drew attention when we were out together. It's laughable the things he would acuse me of because I took too long at the toilet 🤨. Saying that, maybe that was him projecting on me. 🍒

My husband woke me up the other night and asked me if and why I was outside because my feet were cold when he touched them…he seriously was asking if I was outside cheating on him, he follows me to the grocery store instead of watching our kids, and gets angry with me when men compliment me or stare at me while we are out

@@AdrienneJung.M I was stuck in a foreign country with my narcissist, for 17 years. I had to ask my mom to get me a plane ticket outta there. I made that decision after I learned that narcissism is hopeless and cannot be cured. The thing with the cold feet reminds me of my ex wife. My life isnt great but its better than with the narc. it was 0 out of ten but now its 3/10 , im just working and living, but not being abused at home now.

What if one narcissist calls out another narcissist? Of course they perceive everything as an attack and they all have to be the dominant one, bet it could get ugly.

I am not a narcissist but I was tought some of their behaviour because I needed to work with many people .In case of the overt narcissist they are running away . Case of covert narcissist they are trying to resist and he becomes small. Until that point I used silent treatment so they could not become grandiose knowing that i stop to speak with them. I know case women attacs her partner, sometimes he becomes angry and is need to call for ambulance, .
