Timmy this is a tough job. When I think back to some of the crazy stuff I have seen you do, Example a starter, I don’t recall the car but I know you had to remove motor mounts to do it, but makes me realize the engineering is designed to get you coming and going. These engineers must be being told don’t make this stuff easy we want big repair bills In addition to big sticker prices. But you and Silvia always conquer and I guarantee your saving people a lot of money! Thanks.

This just sucks, man. The 4.2 is just such a great engine, but the engineers butchered just about everything else on the Trailblazer platform. What a shame. Glad I have your videos to reference for when my 03 Bravada decides to yeet it's intake gasket. There's a way you can convert those coils to the second gen coils with a 3D printed adapter. The channel name is Nivlac57. You get a better spark with the updated coil packs and you never have to worry about those crappy 10mm bolts again!

😭 i want to change my gasket myself so bad as im tired of taking my vehicles to my mechanic. Unfortunately i dont have the patience or memmory that you have. Gonna have to just use it as is with the new plugs and coils and hope it works out. Still gonna try to remove the 02 sensor if itll move. Thing is fused on. Plugs 4 5&6 was stuck on too. Had to use Free-all to get it loose. Just hope if any got inside it doesnt cause issues.

That back bolt was a pain, I did my daughter's trailblazer valve cover gasket a few months back. Now I gotta do mine and I'm going to take tire off and see if it's easier. Thank you for a good video.

Apparently the body on the 2003 model is different. So I can't go through the wheel well. I'll just spend the more time getting it from the top lol.

I went over the top of the engine to get the back bolt. Has anyone else tried that?

Hi Timmy , just noticed at 10:39 and 14:10 it appears that the top right wishbone bolt is not fully tightened . Sorry to interfere but I would hate for that bolt to come out while the car was moving . Just thought I’d mention it , thanks for the great videos 👍😊

That's the upper control arm, and it's tight, but the bushing is SEVERELY worn, so it looks like it's loose. We actually have a video series coming up where we replace both upper and lower control arms, the front struts, and hub bearings. Appreciate the looking out for me!!

I’m gonna make everyone’s life easier on the rear intake bolt, get some electrical tape, tape it tightly around the swivel and it’ll be easier to just drop it down from above.

Im really not understanding why you have to do sooo much taking so many things off just to remove the valve cover to change the gasket. On my envoy the issue is the plug boots letting oil onto the plugs but the valve gasket itself is still intact. Seems like alot to do just to replace the valve gasket and plug boots. I already bought the gasket and everything but this much work to change it is insane. Its just a valve cover not the entire head gasket, why is it designed to take soo much apart to change something that sits right on top?

Sometimes that hose on the intake might break. Could be easier just to a new hose and cut that one off. None of the local parts store had the hose, I ordered one off of rockauto ac Delco and got it in a few days

what i use to pick up shavings like that is tape, the stickier the better and no worries of them going into the oil. btw to help you out Tim, i didn't see that one bolt whichever it was lmao. i'm to far for Silvia to hit or throw something at lmao

Just a reminder of why I don't buy Fords. Most current vehicles have issues that makes it seem the engineers didn't think things all the way through. Ford's engineers are apparently sadists in creating situations that drive one insane.
