I did the same thing with my metal building. They also make a foam piece that goes on the inside that matches the bumps of the metal to help seal as well. And I also foam sealed with small cans of crack sealer on the inside as well. Then framed out inside with 2x4 and put in rock wool insulation.

Don’t make it air tight. You will cause condensation to form on inside. Due to being a metal building with no insulation. Lots of condensation.

Yeah, that's a good point, however, it is really dry here mostly
