Watch the inspiring story of how two friends named Elie are both overcoming horrible side effects from Fluoroquinolone antibiotics. They want to spread the word so others don't take these medications unnecessarily and also show people who are in the midst of experiencing these side effects that there is huge hope for recovery. They are recovering and so will you!

I am 7 years out from levaquin. Almost died, I got really sick head fever. Went to Dr. He did a x ray and CTScan of my lungs. Came back and said I was really sick with pneumonia and asthma. He prescribed levofloxacin and prednisone. I said you think this is ok to take together. I had a check about. I should have listened to myself. Dr said you’re really sick just take it. I took two doses that day and my life changed that day. Next morning woke up to my body being bombed in night. I could not walk , knee blowed and whole body shot, to much to share here. It almost took my life. Come to find out my lungs were perfect , no pneumonia or asthma. This took me on a journey of being mocked and ridiculed by Drs and family. 24-7 terrible pain head to toes. Lost job, family, friends. Found u are never to give these antibiotics with a steroid. No discipline or repercussions with Dr. I relate so much to this man. I still have major issues with my body and walking etc.

I am so sorry he had to go through that . Trust me I've been there . I'm finally opening up after a year and 4 months and am able to be around people again . I'm not 100% by any means but I'm able to talk more with people and get out a little more . When they say these drugs alter DNA they definitely don't lie . Because they definitely change who you are for a time being . Time seems to make things better but there's always that thought that lingers when or if you will be 100% again . My heart goes out to anyone that has been affected by these drugs . Hang in there

I know how much you have been through! It makes me so angry that you, me and anyone had to suffer so much from these stupid pills. But at least we are both recovering (however slowly) and heading in the right direction.

His story is somewhat same as mine. I am 2 years out and still suffering. My weight also dropped to 54 kgs im 5 feet 6. My great regret was completing the course as I was not warned nor aware. Damn lost all faith on the medical industry and monster doctors.

I just watched this again and wow this was so informative. So sorry he had to deal with all he dealt with . He is so right about the diets . So many feel this condition is all based on diet and that no other medications are good . This is definitely not a good mindset to have and can lead to lots of problems. You guys made a great video here . Thank you for sharing

Thank you Jayne for doing these videos. I have cipro toxicity, 6 months ago. Took 2 pills. My feet are still very sore tender to walk. What exactly can I do to address my sore feet? Any thoughts?

Recovery is possible, I'm going 2 years now, only remaining symptoms is sometimes I hear my knees were cracking.,but no more pain. I'm 26 years old now, I did not take any supplements, or even change my diet, I don't have a lot of money to do that though 😂. I'd say I can run 3-5 km ,carry heavy things, push ups sit ups and other physical exercises.

I love hearing this! Yes, I think too many pepole do all of this stuff (diet, supplements etc) because they feel desperate and are afraid to let time take it course. But so many people, especially younger people, do get better on time alone. And then since they are doing certain things when while time is passing, they give credit to those things. I tell people to wait a year or more before spending any sort of significant money. Thank you for sharing!

I am not sure saying you will get better is accurate. I have terrible fatigue and I am in my 7th year. Eli is correct, everyone recovers differently.

Agreed everyone does recover differently. I am five years out and I recovered a lot but nowhere near I would like to be. But most of the people I have talked to do fully recovery eventually- or at lease revover enough to have a decent quality of life! And I do believe those of us who dont recover have some sort of underlying condition and that we won't get better until we can figure out what the diagnosis is. (which is hard because doctors tend to blow us off-but we have to keep trying.) I have a gene that predisposes me to all sorts of autoimmune disease. Levaquin put it in potion but until I get a handle on which autoimmune disease I am dealing with and how to treat it, I dont know that I will get much better.

oddly my flox muscoskeletal symptoms started 2 years after taking them. but the gut upset was amalgamated with holiday food poisoning (why i was given flox) and the 6 months after cipro was a steady decline in health and gut health. i particularly remember a spell of extreme cold emanating from the bones, a year later i had peripheral neuropathy and gait problems, then the knee, ankle, finger, limb wasting kicked in hard. they are still eviscerated and the intersticial spaces of bones are hollowed out simultaneously with pain. what he says about the brain in a panic state though rings true, your vagus nerve controls motility, and if you're in panic you're in purge, and your food comes out as mush.

Did Elie from the first story take Flagyl and Cipro together or just the Cipro?

There is a solution 5 months straight this doctor with biometrics labs nuclear labs and spectral analysis labs in these advanced labs to see what is happening that normal blood work does not pick up on friend. Have your hormone level testosterone and your thyroid checked that your doctor can do okay. His medicines are things your body produces naturally. Many of our FB group who thought they were getting better but didn't and passed away some given anti depressants a fluoridated med and committed to a mental institution.

ugh! this is so awful, yet so familar. I too blew out my knee and legs felt like dead weight and I couldn't walk. Doctor should NEVER let someone take both a steroid and a quinolone (and shouldnt be prescrdibing a fluoroquinolone at all unless there is no other choice and it's life and death) What Chuck and I were saying is that it is fine to take a steroid years out from taking the antibiotic. We both had steroid shots that helped us, but it was years after taking the Fluoroquinolone. I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through this-as I personally know how awful it is. And the doctors dismissing us just makes it so much worse. Do you find you are gettng better? I hope so. I am much better than I was six years ago-but still not where I want to be. Doctors now think I could have Rheumatoid Arthriits. My legs are a lot better but still have pretty bad neck and back weakness. I do find that mild excercise, stretching and strength training is working and so is being treated for RA and other autoimmune diseases
