Your rear differential fluid change on the Honda Rancher starts with the right parts. Get them here: bit.ly/honda-ra...
See how to change the rear diff oil on your Honda Rancher TRX350TM. In the video, John shows you how to remove the skid plate and then locate the oil check bolt and drain bolt as well as the fill opening. This machine looked like it had not ever had a rear diff fluid change, so John shows you how to run some fluid through to clean the system. Then John will show you how to get the level right and close the system back up.
Read how to do this step-by-step: www.partzilla....

Once again I am doing this myself because my husband passed away who did all of the maintenance so now it's up to me . Thank you for a video I can follow

I love watching your videos and their simple step-by-step processes. I am currently trying to diagnose the issue where my 03 Honda Rancher 350's 4-wheel-drive no longer engages in the rear axle. Would changing the oil resolve this or would I have to completely tear apart the axle?

Does a trx 400 have this kind of set up also ? My grand son says not. I find that most people that own the moto cross quads really don't take proper care when it comes to maintenance. Which the harder you beat it the more work it takes.

Great video! I have a question. I want to do the seals and bearings. Also the shaft seal. Do I have to remove and and take apart the entire final drive?
@PartzillaParts
@PartzillaParts 5 жыл бұрын
Typically that's a full rebuild, so most likely you'll have to tear it down.

Good video as always. How much torque do you recommend for the skid plate scews (got an Yamaha grizzly 700 2016 with aluminium plates). Thx
@PartzillaParts
@PartzillaParts 5 жыл бұрын
Snug them down good. Don't have an actual torque spec unless the plates came with instructions.

is there any way to check the differential oil level on a honda rancher 425 2013?
@PartzillaParts
@PartzillaParts 6 жыл бұрын
For the Rancher 420, there is a check bolt about 3/4 down on the diff. If you want to just check the level, pull it out and add gear oil at the top. Once it spills out the check bolt hole, it's full.

Thanks for the great video, I just changed differential oil of my 04 rancher ES 4x4... and I found a rip on a boot cover which I believe is part#52101-HN5-670 from partszilla website.. it looks like it will be a very involved work to change the boot. It is the one on the joint of a shaft coming with out of transmission toward the rear differential. Do you have a video? Thank you!

We don't for this model, but we have boot replacement videos for the Grizzly 700. It might give some insight.

Do you have any idea of where I could possibly get new replacement decals for the exact atv shown in this video ? I’ve truly searched everywhere and haven’t found them with the orange colored background.

Collin Bode it's pretty easy. If you want I can make a video on what to remove. Do you need the rear diff or the entire rear swing arm assemply?

That is a very vague description of the issue. It could be a number of things. Check brakes, wheel hub and axle.

Different oil, same idea, no video for transmission on this unit. No need to yell. This is the only transmission vid we have for ATV. I'll add TRX350 to the list. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/esd-m5V2nt6cfY0.html

Hey what was the noise when u were spining the wheels
@PartzillaParts

You can heard the gears in the diff turning a little...the occasional knock was the ATV moving on the stand.

Partzilla the noise in the rear end i have a 2004 rancher that makes the same noise but a lot louder u can hear is when your coasting of when you slowing down to turn or driving really slow.
@PartzillaParts
@PartzillaParts 6 жыл бұрын
Time to take a look at the back end. If that noise is loud, check fluid for shavings. Could be bearings or gears.

The most amusing part of these "expert" videos is the fact that THERE IS NO DIFFERENTIAL in that rear end… it's simply a ring & pinion setup…!!!

This guy acts like the owner wasn't ever supposed to ride it in any dirt or if was overcast. Last time I checked, they're made for getting muddy. This guy seems so negative.👎just change the oil already and get it done.
