@@steviet3995 Justification (a person's righteousness) is reckoned by faith (Romans 4:3-10) in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your sins (1 Cor. 15:1-4, Romans 3:20-28). Notice that Abrahams' righteousness was reckoned in UNCIRCUMCISION, and Paul states that OUR righteousness is reckoned the SAME WAY (Romans 4:16-25). Abraham was CIRCUMCISED when he offered Isaac in Genesis Chapter 22. Abraham was CIRCUMCISED in Genesis Chapter 17. Abraham was Justified in Genesis Chapter 15 verses 1-6 by FAITH without WORKS by believing what God told him about his descendants and the stars. After a man trusts the gospel, he is sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. We are a PURCHASED POSSESSION (Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 1:12-14). A Christian is given the SPIRIT OF ADOPTION or the Firstfruits of the Spirit (Romans 8:15, Romans 8:23). A Christian is PREDESTINED to be ADOPTED (Romans 8:29-30, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 1:5) which happens at the rapture because FLESH AND BLOOD CANNOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (1 Cor. 15:49-53). In Romans Chapter 8 Paul states that we are saved by HOPE. Hope of Justification? No, the HOPE of the REDEMPTION OF THE BODY, which is yet future, because we WAIT FOR IT (Romans 8:23-25). If you trust in your changed life, turning from sin, water baptism, church attendance, etc. you WILL NOT know you are saved. If you trust in Jesus Christs' obedience and the FREE gift (Romans 5:15-19) by faith without the works of the Law (Gal. 2:16, Gal. 3:10) you are JUSTIFIED and will be GLORIFIED. A Christians faith is not perfected by works (Gal. 3:1-4) because in the flesh dwells no good thing (Romans 7:14-18). I know I am saved because I have studied Paul's epistles to the CHURCH and the doctrine that was given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ AFTER His resurrection. You must renew your mind by STUDYING SCRIPTURE (2 Timothy 2:15), not trusting on your feelings, "church tradition", Calvinism, works, water baptism, or "harmonizing" scriptures together that are separate doctrines to different groups of people at different times (HEBREWS 1:1-2, James 2:21-24/Romans 4:3-10, Matthew 19:16-24/1 Cor. 15:49-53, James 2:22/Galatians 3:1-4, Matthew 24:13/Romans 8:31-39).

But there's a big difference between, if we sin, confess our sins to the Lord, & those who blatantly live in sinful lifestyles, like homosexuality, adultery, when they know its wrong, & continue living like that. God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, he shall surely reap.

As Christians we look always for Christ to be manifested in self and others. What I read here is the flesh and Satan. Young Don is still someone to be respected even if you don’t agree with Him. Christianity is a calling to the higher life in Christ. Grace is higher than law.

@@Rileyed Try reading Matthew 23 and see what kind of things the Lord Jesus Christ told the Pharisees. Young Don is a Pharisee preaching a false gospel.

Is this what Christ and his apostles taught? And their disciples? Is this what the original, unbroken church teaches? The question becomes what does being in Christ mean? What does receiving what Christ has done for you actually look like? Protestants think they can innovate to make the way less narrow, softer, and easier to keep up with the times. At the end of the day the only one you will have fooled and cheated is yourself.

Jesus: “Believeth in me.” Peter: “Believeth on Him.” John: “Believe on the Son of God.” Paul: “All that believe.” I don’t type it that way to be facetious, but they all agreed with Jesus. Whosoever believes in Jesus Christ for the payment of their sin is forgiven, and they receive eternal life. We disagree with the brother above regarding repentance, but biblical salvific repentance is simply a change of mind. You didn’t believe -> changed mind -> you now believe. Repent and believe is as simple as that. No works, turning, stopping, starting or giving up is required to be saved. - Trent

Thank you for the support. Every one of us struggle with different types of sins, but that doesn’t disqualify you from eternal life. Jesus paid for all sin of all time; yours included. Yes, we would agree that non-medical recreational use of Marijuana has problems, but that doesn’t disqualify you from eternal life. Have you believed Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose again to pay for all of your sins? You simply need believe in Him and what He did for you. In that moment, you receive eternal life! This never changes, but your lifestyle may change. You will have ups and downs, but the encouragement is to be like Christ. We love Him BECAUSE He first loved us. You can’t put the cart before the horse (ie - works for salvation). - Trent

You can have Him! He sent His Son to die for all your sin. Jesus was buried and rose from the dead, and all our sins were paid. Believe in Him and you receive forgiveness of all your sin! In that moment of belief, you receive everlasting life. - Trent

Thank you. We believe John is claiming himself and his audience to already have understood salvation. If chapter one is somewhat a gospel tract, then that really throws the rest of the book off. Notice John also says “we,” not “they.” He includes himself in the scenario. 1 John 1:9 is the daily practical growth step for the believer. - Trent

That scripture refers to the flesh nature of the individual. Nonbelievers aren’t born again by the spirit. Believers have a new, perfect nature within them that cannot sin. This is the two natures within a believer. His flesh hates his brother. The spirit nature cannot hate his brother. This is why Paul commands us in Gal. 5:16-23 to walk in the Spirit. 1 John 3:6-10 make the case that the “born of God CANNOT SIN.” It’s not “cannot practice sin.” It’s “cannot sin.” Now we know surely that we all struggle with sin sometimes. How may you reconcile this in your theology of loss of salvation for hating one’s brother? If that’s true, you’ll never be saved friend. It would be works salvation to ALWAYS try to not hate your brother (not to mention adultery of the mind, lying, anger, slander, blasphemy, envy, lasciviousness, drunkenness and the such like)… - Trent

You receive the new nature and you keep it forever. It is the nature that is born again and enters heaven. It will eventually receive a new body - 1 Cor. 15:50-54. This nature cannot be lost just as the Holy Spirit seal, adoption into God’s family and justification. - Trent

It’s a fair question you have. I believe what we do at BibleLine is profitable to our believing audience as well as the unsaved audience. The reason we do the reactions (and sometimes harshly) is due to the heretical messages these men teach. The unsaved need the true saving message that aligns with scripture, and the believing audience need true assurance. Many of our audience who already have believed are constantly bombarded with a thousand reasons why they “might not” be saved. We desire to bridge that gap for them. When you understand your assurance, it helps you get to work serving the Lord. - Trent

@Bibleline Pastor Trent, Blessing upon you. The Salvation question as even a question sadly underscores the poison of so much information flung about from so many directions. I may be a few decades older, lol. Question; how easily do online audiences react or understand KJV concepts like sin or salvation? It’s almost like using words from a foreign language, like Mandarin. We know Nicodemus stumbled on being born-again with God’s Son sitting front and centre! The template of called, follow post conversion gives meaning to a new life lived in a new way. My new repentance stems from a life inside the boat asking for Jesus to wake up to save us from perishing in the Storm. A définit show of faith in Him, but He rebukes us AND the storm? I believe reactions as demonstrated by John the Baptist and Jesus Himself. I do. I believe Salvation assurance hardest to maintain while leaving all the hard lifting to Pastors in the 1-to-many ratios. The table needs turning. Dispatch your followers and let them come back for rest in the Lord. Let them discover the profound, moving experience as they listen and obey the Holy Spirit in building the King’s Church on a solid foundation. I’ll send them to you! I love you In the Lord. We do not “affirm” Christians living in sin. It is possible, but it’s not tolerated. We reiterate over and over that all sin is wrong, evil and against God - even the so called “small sins.” God probably hates lying more than anything - Proverbs 6. Going to heaven ie receiving eternal life ie being justified ie getting saved is FREE. It is by grace through faith. God offers salvation to everyone, but those who believe in Jesus Christ receive the payment of sin applied to their account - Romans 3:20-28, 4:1-8. The consequences for a believer living a sinful life are eternal actually. It’s eternal, not in the fact that they’ll lose or “never had” eternal life, but it’s eternal in that their sinful life will NOT reach anyone else. Works include sharing the gospel message. A believer caught up in sin isn’t going to be effective in witnessing. Nonetheless, his lack of witnessing does not cost him his salvation. That would be as though Jesus never died for that sin. Salvation is not the same as service. These are to be kept separate. Romans 11:6, Titus 3:5-8, Romans 4:5, Eph. 2:8-10. You can’t earn salvation, keep salvation or prove salvation. God declares you righteous the moment you believe in Christ. That’s a done deal. Your lifestyle afterwards is of ABSOLUTE UPMOST IMPORTANCE. The believers living antinomian, wicked and sinful lifestyles will receive the just recompense they deserve, but hell is never in that equation. Thanks - Trent

It’s because the wicked lifestyle doesn’t determine salvation. No one here affirms or tolerates such a lifestyle, but the fact of the matter is that Jesus paid for all the sin. Murderers, Drunkards, Immoral, Liars and all sinners had their sin paid for. The difference is whether they believe in Christ or not. Your sin no longer condemns you to hell, but unbelief does. The believer is no longer condemned to hell because he believed. He is going against God every time he sins, but God has given him a new nature within that will never be revoked. - Trent

@steviet3995 All of your sin was future when He died. All sin was paid. The moment you believe in Christ many things happen. You are literally born again (new nature, but you still have a sinful nature too) - Gal. 5:16-17, sealed with the Holy Spirit - Eph. 1:12-14, justified (declared righteous) - Romans 3:24, and never to be brought unto condemnation again - John 5:24. Yes, sin is wrong before AND after getting saved. The sin doesn’t change your salvation status though. That would mean Jesus didn’t die for it. - Trent

That’s interesting. We believe “for all have sinned.” Jesus paid for all the sin, and we receive a new birth when we believe. The flesh still sins, but the new birth cannot sin. Did you see this explanation in video 1-2? Thanks - Trent

@@BibleLine 1 John 2 says Jesus is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world but that is only effectual when they come to Christ. In other words, they are not automatically saved by Jesus' act of redemption. They must receive it. This is why the very next verse is: and hereby we know that we know Him if we keep His commandments. The first commandment kept is coming to Jesus to receive salvation. And from this one act of getting born again we receive a new nature whereby we can keep all the other commanments. And just like by obeying the command to get born again we receive new life so too is that life continually brought to perfection in us as we keep on obeying Him (1 John 2:5). To not continually obey Him is to lose truth unto the place where the word of eternal life in no longer in them (1 John 1:8-10). Jesse (and yourself) don't see sin at all as connected to you, as in, posing any danger to your eternal salvation (as you say 'your spirit can't sin') which means you guys are the ones saying: "We have no sin." And then for plausible deniability of that you add the doctrine of sin and righteousness as pertaining to rewards and pleasing God. This way you can call me crazy for what I am writing. Man, I love you Trent. I will pray for you that you see this. When you call darkness light there is no way anyone can help you because you call their light darkness.

You would not read a love letter from your sweety pie like that. No, you would comb over it, in context. And then read it again and again and again. And by doing this with the Bible those individual verses would be brushstrokes contributing to the overall image of scripture, the Monalisa. You are taking the verses and making another image. And when you went to school you were not only given a textbook but you had a teacher. And don't tell me the Holy Spirit is your teacher because if He was you and I would be saying the same things. Having the Holy Spirit with you does not make Him your teacher. One must pray in tongues for Him to pass the mysteries through you so they can be answered. I pray you consider this.

Nicodemus did not understand this when he ask if he could go back in his mother's womb and be born again. Jesus again aswered him in verse 5 and 6 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (which is your first birth, the flesh) and of the Spirit, (Your new birth BORN OF GOD) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 2 separate births. Jesus told him how this new birth is given in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (new birth born of God). In 1st John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God (second birth) DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN; for his seed remaineth in him: and he CANNOT SIN (meaning unable to), because he is born of God. This verse is NOT talking about our flesh nature. That will keep sinning til the day we die. That is why we need a another birth that is perfect and CANNOT SIN. That birth is the one that is going to Heaven when we die. Not our flesh. Our flesh birth will either be in an urn or six feet under. It's not going anywhere because it is completely corrupted. If 1st John 3:9 was talking about our flesh birth, then we wouldn't even have to make a conscious effort not to sin if we were unable to sin in the first place. Look what 1st Peter 1:23 says about our new birth. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of INCORRUPTIBLE, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. If we could for any reason lose salvation once we are saved, then that would mean our second birth (born of God) got corrupted somehow when the bible says it is incorruptible. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. Jesus said that.
