Nice video. I’ve been using Reaper almost exclusively for about a year. A lot I still don’t know about it, but still learning. Runs great and less taxing on my old Mac Pro .

Interesting. I have been using ReaRoute to route things out of and back into a parent or 2buss track in Reaper. You were in fairness pretty vague about the patching in Reaper. Did you not need to use ReaRoute? If so, maybe a video where you show setting up the routing on camera since you already did the downloading would be doable? I will submit that a lot of folks using external hardware would be needing to use a desktop interface with at least a couple sends and returns. Also, most of those would be integrating a specific piece of hardware into their mixing sessions. For me, I have 2 Warm Audio WA12 preamps, and an old analog tube eq. I would be patching all 3 units into my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 using inputs 5, 6, 7, & 8 and the same returns. But others may be using single stomp effects up to rackmount hardware

Hey good to see your trying reaper , I have been using it for about 8 years now. You should give it a go it's really a great daw , you can tailor it to your workflow .

My questions is I am new to Reaper and recording. I also have a PreSonus 12 channel mixer my mixer is a usb mixer how do I set Reaper up with my mixer please

Hello! Great Video! Keep up the great work! Quick question: I have an Apollo X6 and am trying to connect an outboard Warm Audio WA73-eq Pream. When I open Reaper and Insert the Reainsert, the plugin only identifies "Mon Left" and "Mon Right" (Hardware Sends) and "Mic/Line/HiZ 1" and "Mic/line/HiZ 2" (Hardware Returns). So, I cannot "turn on" the channels I've connected the Outboard Gear to (Input 3 and Output 3). But in the Options/Preferences Tab in Reaper, the Enabled Inputs and Output Range identifies all my channels (including the ones I've connected the outboard gear to). What am I missing Here?...
