If you look at the photo from the study at 3:54 the position of the knee comes far forward as opposed to when you're demonstrating the exercise with the yoga strap or trx band and places a different force on the knee... i'm assuming this is because the flexion of the ankle causes the forces to be more pronounced on the patella tendon.. does it matter if we bend more at the ankle or not .. or is the main idea just that we learn to tolerate more pain eventually until there is none ?

Excellent video - thanks for posting. Should I avoid sport that causes the pain while I do the rehab or can I still do my normal routine?

I find the biggest problem with these rehabs is that they get rid of pain effectively. Bridging the new strength developed and transitioning back to sport isn’t covered enough. Like after this you can just jump back into basketball or volleyball

start to do whatever aggrovates your knee slowly couple reps every day and ur tendon will get used to it increase over time

hey ,if anyone else needs to find out about kneecap tendonitis try Mackorny Treat Bones Blueprint (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for dealing with chronic knee pain minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my neighbor got cool success with it.

interesting points ,if anyone else trying to find out arthroscopic surgery for patellar tendonitis try Mackorny Treat Bones Blueprint (do a google search )? It is an awesome exclusive product for dealing with chronic knee pain minus the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my colleague got great results with it.

@@nonza15555 you dont do this to balance the muscles. If this is enough of a stimulus to spark muscular growth, you are EXTREMELY weak. For a regular person this will strengthen the tendon, but that's it.
