My demon playthrough is a base Kineticist. I have been wanting to play with SS since it came out but didn't know how to go about buulding it (outside the obvious ranged feats) so I thank you kindly for another wonderful video. Love the channel.

I was JUST thinking of what to do to spice Lann up a bit in my new run, and seeing how the loss for getting to lvl 19 is not bad at all, I'll probably make him into one of these and see how it goes. Thanks for the idea cause I'd totally forgotten about this yesterday haha

I went with energy attack. And in the beginning I just used the bow as an actual bow, with cold iron arrows if i was shooting at demons.

Note in the late game if you play Azata you can mount Aivu. You can still charge with Aivu but you would need point blank master which means 3 levels of Zen Archer. Probably not worth it but it's fun. *To charge with a mounted Archer, when it's turn comes up, select the pet and you can charge.

I would actually maybe suggest water for a couple of reasons. Water not only basically gives you a grease spell, useful in general, but also healing. Since we offload our burn onto the quiver that actually means we have the option to use more utility abilities more often without hitting full burn. Something this archetype actually does better I feel then others where you want to save your burn entirely for combat.

There is one other thing you can do with the lich. If you choose earth blast and focus on trip there a ability that the lich has when you do a combat maneuver you do at 10d6 damage a max mythic rank.

Is Kinetic Sharpshooter's bonus to-hit from bows enough to offset using Blue-Flame Blast (Pure-Flame Infusion) and attacking Touch AC instead of armored AC?

All energy blasts hit touch ac, using a bow doesnt change that.

@@MortismalGaming Sorry, I didn't present that thought well. All other energy blasts are subject to spell resistance. Thinking specifically about the Nahyndri contruct at the end of Midnight Isles and similarly powerful enemies with both high SR and high AC.

Can a Kinetic Sharpshooter use ANY Ranged Weapon? Sure, they get Bows and Crossbows by default, but it doesn't necessarily specify that it has to be those. Does that mean you could be throwing Javelins? Or better yet, yeeting huge ice chunks or molten lava balls with a Sling Staff? Please say yes, lol

You'd have to pick up the proficiencies for them, you only get simple weapons, but the abilities only specify a ranged weapon. I don't think you'd be able to use thrown stuff either way though because that wouldnt make any sense, but I cant say I tested it.

Hey guys! I'm pretty new to the game and I was wondering what the damage benchmarks are for the early game? I'm in act one and my main damage dealer is a scythe-wielding Slayer that usually hits for around 25 and crits for around 80. That feels pretty huge to me, but is it actually? What numbers should I be expecting and aiming for? Thanks!

I've been thinking about multiclassing Lann into Kinetic Sharpshooter. No offense to his starting class, but I've always found Lann somewhat uninspiring and usually multiclass him into demonslayer.

It may just be me or something I'm not getting, but I feel like this class is bugged right now? Because if say I have 6 arrows in my quiver with my level 5 kinetic sharpshooter Lann (lvl 6 overall) who has Kinetic overcharge, and I shoot a blast with empower turned on, the amount of arrows goes down by one... but if I seemingly only have 1 arrow left, it won't be used... I'm assuming this is a bug unless I missed something.

1. Quiver WAS bugged. Now fixed. When out of charges the quiver remained up working as a permanent 1-charge buff. Fixed 2. Overcharge doesn't work. You do not gather power, it is a wasted talent Then you can make the math about burns

The bad news is that one cannot use deadly earth or cloud with this archetype, which is generally considered the strongest feature of a kineticist.

It shouldn't but I didn't try, the ranged mythic stuff makes it clear its only for ranged weapon attacks, and it doesnt work with Kinetic Blast.

Lann could be good for going towards kineticist, weapons crit range and modifiers are added to the kinetic blast so getting them higher is always good

It Makes it where they don't resist the spell damage type it doesn't make it where they can't resist the spell from working so still have to penetrate their spell resistance

Ascended element don't interact with spell resistance. It's only used for bypassing DR and energy immunities

Energy blasts from a kineticist have to overcome spell resistance (its like spell AC on an enemy) before making a ranged touch attack to hit, Ascended Element bypasses damage reduction after the hit is confirmed and you are rolling damage.

Level 20 Titan fighter with two fauchards, dump dex and get twf feats through the bonus combat feats that let you ignore prereqs, however don't actually dual wield fauchards till mythic 2 where you get mythic TWF and level 9 where you get another level to your incredible heft (?) ability which increases accuracy. Go trickster into legend for those extra crit range feats. Also get cleave feats, lunge, outlank, combat reflexes, ever ready, all the critical focus feats and have someone cast legendary proportions for 20 feetish range. When legend kicks in after fighter 20, go a full bab class with mount progression like Cavalier or mad dog barb or paladin even. In the end what you will have is about 10-15 attacks a turn on average with about 50% crit chance on each of them proccing further AoOs with a mount meaning you will always make full attacks. Basically a human meat grinder

You could, but it wouldnt be my first choice for Kineticist on that difficulty, would be better off doing elemental engine or just the base class

I'm using it on Weng on Unfair, pretty much playable but you burn through charges like crazy so it doesn't work well for big maps I went with blue flame version for max dmg was unpleasantly surprised that mystic overcharge doesn't seem to work, so you get at best -1 cost for blasts from regular class progression and that's it, even most basic combined blast starts eating through your quiver like crazy if they fix overcharge for this class it will be more convenient for sure
