i am kind of dumbfounded hearing him refer to bowman as a great man after finding out he (along with others) intentionally covered this up. everyone involved in this decision to cover this up should be banned from the NHL and from holding any job at any level of hockey. more appalling is that they are doing all they can to stop beach from suing the team. the hawks are going to get dragged through the gutter (rightfully so) because this is only going to be the beginning of the nightmare that they created. i hope it costs them millions

It took a lot of courage to stand up and bring this SEXUAL ABUSE to the light. Having been a Blackhawks fan from the age of 3 to 50, it sickens me that all of this went on unchecked for so long. If McDonough, Bowman, and Quenniville decided not to tell the team until after the season, how do we expect them to know about it from the get go? Brent Sopel said that everyone knew about it. Is he referring to the 2010 playoffs or later on? What can a player do when the coach is fired and they think everything is taken care of? Kane's comments come across as a bit vague; not much courage there... Beach demonstrated massive courage because until this past week he had to bear the 24/7 torment of his pain. Until now, he's been suffering pretty much alone with his story for more than a decade. The Blackhawks executive are definitely culpable but what really hit me was that Beach's teammates knew what had happened to him and ridiculed him with homophobic slurs and jokes. Its bad enough when the leaders of the organization trivialize your abuse, ignore its reality and even put effort into discrediting it; but the abuse is ratcheted up even more when your own teammates kick you out of their circle. I am amazed that Beach didn't suicide. I'm looking at that 2010 Stanley Cup winning roster in a different light now. What did captain Jonathan Toews know? I don't believe for a second that Kane wasn't aware. All of those players on that SC roster should take a good hard look at their SC rings and think about what they did to and didn't do for their teammate.

So in the talent, remarkable. As a human being, I don’t care how good of a player he is, I don’t care about his cups. Kyle Beach and one other person were sexually assaulted. Kane and the rest of the organization did nothing or care. Fuck ‘em.

In the report it states that some of the Blackhawk players were harrassing Beach and another blace ace player. Calling them the F word and saying they were ****suckers. Some of this stuff is not unusual for locker rooms but the Blackhawks took it to another level. The Blackhawks and the NHL are still trying to cover for those players. Eventually it will come out and I bet one of the players was Kane. It just sounds like him.

Not sure how Kaner claims to have only found out about beach when his interview came out. I mean this case started a year ago? In the meantime no one from the organization told you John Doe was Kyle? Or Kaner never once asked who the victim was when this broke a year ago? Come on

I find it difficult to believe Patrick Kane didn't know, given that two Blackhawks defencemen and Kyle Beach himself said that it was an open secret in the locker room. Even Jonathan Toews has said that he had heard rumours during the 2010-11 training camp.
@subswithnovideos-oz4zo

As of the training camp the coach was already off the team. It really isn't the players responsibility to deal with these situation. Kane and Toews were young adults not long out of high school
@BloggerMusicMan
@BloggerMusicMan 2 жыл бұрын
@@subswithnovideos-oz4zo It isn't the players' responsibility, especially legally. I'm not saying Patrick Kane has legal exposure in the way the front office does. But the players knew and also didn't exactly help Kyle Beach in that situation. In fact, some of them chirped him on the basis of that. It's not something legally damning. I wouldn't chirp someone who had been through that but I'm not sure how well I would cope with a situation like that. But it's less than admirable. It's particularly less than admirable to deny it.

This is a terrible situation that the upper management failed to address. I have no doubt that some players, possibly like Kane, might not have known. The key is Beach 'felt' he was being pretty much ignored or not believed or even being bullied. Being that it was Kane's second year, he and some of the other young players might not have been in the loop. Interestingly enough, look at all the coaches who left after that season. It always seemed strange the team would let members of a winning coaching staff go. Now we apparently know why. There are also some facts that haven't been released in the media, but are in the report. Everyone should read it before passing judgement on some of the players.

These guys are athletes who are trying to win. They aren’t responsible for anything outside of their jobs. The people who should be held responsible are management and the perpetrator. Some people are crazy trying to shit on athletes training multiple times a day in the midst of a Dynasty to outsource any more of their already limited mental resources. I know most of you never competed at a high level so it’s pretty obvious you have no clue what you’re talking about from an athletes perspective.
