I bought this many years ago before I educated myself. Was fooled by the name regarding capabilities. It only runs my oxygen a whopping 3 hours when I thought it would run for at least 6. I was really bummed when I figured this out. If you want to really test this I'll gladly send you mine.

From the first time I saw their ad, it repelled me. I resent any products labeled Patriot or sold on that idea. I'd be embarrassed to own one. I literally wouldn't buy their generator at any price. I'm very glad you did this video, giving me a dozen more reasons to not buy anything from that company. I genuinely feel sorry for people who have purchased anything from that company. My father was a United States Marine. He was proud of his service and his country. He fought in WWII and Korea. I will always be proud of him and of this country. That company's ads really torque my nerves, using patriotism and preying upon some vulnerable people for profit. I feel that they're abusing the sacrifices made by U.S. Armed Forces personnel, disrespectfully using the freedoms we enjoy, to be massive greedy dishonest assholes. I found your channel by trying to find a review for the PPG. I avoided buying one of these thanks to your extensive testing and review of competitive systems. The fact that I could not find THAT type of testing on the PPG made me very apprehensive. Kudos to you for being able to give such a detailed review of the PPG without actually having to obtain one. Basically it is such a scam that you were able to point out all the flaws and deceptive marketing while never actually having to buy one.

Glad to see that you made this. I went one step further, pulled their tax filings & contacted EVERY one of their firms that the "donate" money too. I was sure I would have video gold & that they never donated any of that money they claim to. To my amazement, they are truthful in their donations. It doesn't make the junk not junk but they aren't lying about the donation stuff. Don't underestimate them too, I have done some calculations on their financials and they are selling more units than anyone would believe. Insane!

Effin EPIC!!!!! This was my experience with their 3 week supply of "survival food". I got 3 servings of oat meal, and 3 servings of mac and cheese, that starving fat kids wouldn't eat. I guess you only get one serving a week. But at least I only got ripped off for $97, not $1800

THANK U ‼️ THANK U‼️ I bought the 1500 Patriot generator years ago. I didn't have a clue about any type of generators at all when I bought that one. I have only used it once when PG&E shut the power off to the whole county of Mendocino for 5 or 7 days or more can't remember. I all ready had the solar generator. It did somewhat ok. Still there was quite a bit it couldn't do. The one thing that I thought it would do! It was the most important thing to me. U guys might think this is ridiculous but to me at that time and moment it was very important to me!! I wanted to have my freshly ground coffee in the morning. But it couldn't even run a 4 cup coffee maker without shuting down!! When I called Patriot about the issue they said it wasn't the generator. They said it was probably the Anderson cable that came with the solar panels that I got with the generator ( Yeah right Bonus my ASS‼️‼️) Some how they ran out of Anderson cables. Who knows! I would have to wait until they got them back in stock. They had no clue on how long it was going to be. So I order some off of Amazon. When I had some questions about the Anderson's cables I called the company that makes them (I think) when I told them what kind of generator I had they put me on hold for a bit. When he returned to the call he ask me if he could call me when he gets more information about the generator. Ok. 2 days later he called me back. Ask a bunch of questions about the generator. Most of the ?s he asked I had no clue about. He continued on. But at the end he said for the last 2 days I have been trying to find out more about the generator from Patriot. He couldn't find any information about the generator. So he said he didn't feel comfortable when it came to recommending anything that had to do with the generator or the Patriot Organization!! I haven't used the generator since then. That was over 6 years ago I think . I still want to buy a bigger generator so it could run my 4 cup coffee maker. Even to this day I still don't have a clue about solar generators. I have tried to learn more about solar generators and what they really are and what they can do. I have watched and ask many many people about solar generators ‼️ But when it came down to it and with all the videos I have watched or try to watch . For me it made things more complicated and confusing!!! But still it was amazing on how many people really don't know much about solar generators or anything that could be very useful to sustain our life or to be prepared if this should ever happen again ! Me included! What does it all mean ❓❓‼️ Amps, killawattz, converting, energy that it takes in and puts out. How long can something run by using solar power? Now coffee making isn't the most important thing to me. Running my Frigerators/ freezers Coffee making is number 2 on my list So It's still very confusing for me! I have ADHD and PTSD SO SEVERELY ‼️ That My brain runs so fast that I can't even feel sad when I loose someone important to me . Because my thoughts are way past that moment in time. I actually bought a 4 week supply of "4patriot" survival food and had heard from other sources the food isn't bad, but after being stressed out, trying to get ready for when the grid goes down, a very sick beloved Aunt, & myself being physically disabled-I ALMOST threw my hands up & bought this "Patriot" power generator! YOU just stopped me from making a 2.5k mistake that I CAN NOT AFFORD! MAY THE CREATOR(S) BLESS YOU!

Feel my pain: Around two years ago I mentioned to Hubs that we should find out about solar generators and get something as an addition to our older fuel-powered generators. We try to have redundancy and diversity in all our preps. He says "Start the research and we'll see." A couple of months later without consulting me, Hubs purchases one of these monstrosities, plus a pair of the Sidekicks and extra panels, and a bunch of other little items like flashlights, lanterns, pocket power banks. Yes, thousands of dollars. The boxes come in and I'm gob-smacked. Not in a good way. I *literally* have a file of research done on such a big and important investment, and he went and pulled the trigger without talking to me about it. Plus it's this over-priced out-dated garbage. About a year after the purchase (Yes, I'm still here. He has many positive qualities, and we've been together a long time.) and he's finally giving me hints that he regrets his purchases, so I'm leaving my file of research and printed out pages from the HoboTech shop site just casually laying around. Maybe I'll take a screenshot of this review and stick that on top of the file. I sure hope this works. Wish me luck folks. Edited to add: Yes, their commercial preceded this video. The absolute irony!

I thought Patriot used Lead Acid batteries until just recently. I saw a 600 watt Oupes solar generator for $349 plus tax on Amazon today. A KZfaqr camping family has Patriot as a sponsor. Coincidently, I haven't been watching their videos lately. Really, they also use a $160 manual coffee grinder!

Thanks so much for this video! I checked out the Patriot Power Generator KZfaq channel and there was even a guy in the comments section saying how concerned he was about purchasing their generator because of the horrible reviews they get. Patriot responded to his comment saying that the people who give them bad reviews have never even used or tested their units! They did a video were some "navy seal" just went around his house plugging in random crap to show that the generator "works". They never provided any technical stats or any important information about real world runtime. Thanks for making this video. I feel so sorry for the people who won't find out about how badly they were suckered until they are in a real grid down situation.

So I just got to use mine for a power outage tonight. I was impressed with how long it held a charge while being in storage. It held the full battery for about a year. However I used it for about two hours to power a small fan and after those two hours it was about half dead. I’m not sure if this is good or bad but I was expecting to last for several hours without dying. I have tons of their food but haven’t tried it yet. I also have their flashlights thst work well and the cell phone chargers that are so so. I’m not sure if I trust these products for a real long emergency but they are nice for a few hours without power. I do wish I would have done for research into other companies first tho.

I bought a really cheap welder from China a couple years ago and it has the exact same chassis. Out of curiousity of the fakery I read the 1 and 2 star reviews (about 0.1% of the total btw) and the single 2 star actually said it only powers one light bulb for 5 hours!!!

When I first saw an ad for 4Patriots my initial thought was "Wow! that's some serious propaganda" they were so overly dramatic that I thought it was a spoof. Thanks for clarifying my gut.

Just recently found this channel and love it. Funniest thing ever is while watching it, there was an ad commercial for Patriot power station and a year later, they're still using the same folding 100w solar panel.

I don't even need to watch the video because I know they suck but I'll watch anyway.

Found one of these in the trash and took it apart. I don’t know anything about inverters but the batteries are a 4s6p liFePO4 50Ah at 12.8volt. Equivalent batteries can be found for about $100 on Alibaba. So when he says they make them for a few hundred dollars I think he is spot on. The specific cells used are Vision model V-LFP-D325680E. The unit I found is the patriot power 1500 and it is definitely only 50Ah.

I just went to the web site and was just shocked. One question - They claim if you don't like the Patriot 1800 in the year of the warranty, it can be returned for a full refund. Reading some of the comments below, did anyone try to get a refund and how did it go?

I feel so stupid for spending so much $$ on this first 4Patriots power generator 1800. I keep used, lied to , ignored , everything. I paid over 2k dollars for this unit that they included 5 free small solar power banks for charging cell phones. those are ok. But the main 1800 is the worst device I’ve ever paid for. It takes half a day to charge, battery is empty when only 1 electric blanket and tiny fan room heater w a fan 400 watts. solar panels take 2 days to charge. and cannot charge devices when the generator is solar charging as predicted. I am embarrassed to say what I paid for it. man I feel used and lied to. STAY AWAY FROM EVERYTHING FROM 4PATRIOTS- SCAM I FELL FOR .
