His picture and the song was ‘Crying.’ I watched to see how badly he would destroy Roy’s song………imagine my shock and, pleasant surprise. Been in love with all of them since. Missed his concert due to COVID. They are on my bucket list. Love Love Love all of them….especially Raul,our Miami Cowboy.

I saw the performance at the London Palladium a couple of years ago. Look out for their Tour Dates and Schedule when they start touring again. You’ll have to be quick as they are simply SUPERB live!! Kushty Bok.

I took my mom to see them last night...on her 76th birthday...she's a huge fan and now I can say I am too...what a great show!

I've been to their concerts, and the crowd ranged from 20 to 80+. Amazingly, they appeal to all age groups.

It's hard to pick your favorite amongst them. Raul's amazing voice, the lead guitarist, the keyboardist guy, the drummer, that amazing brass section... All amazing together.

Bob Zangar ... drummer is bad-ass

When you hear that driving beat you just know it's the Mavericks.

Paul is amazing. As is Eddy and Jerry Dale. They have all been with Raul for a long time. BTW, Raul is the greatest vocalist of our time.

Ah, but how you are now in Texas. A ton of musicians are here not heard much outside of Texas. When I play some of these for my west coast family members at reunions - they are always blown away. We are blessed here, you can still find radio not homogenized by corporate crap. You can still visit honkytonks and see acts no one else bothers with. The Mavericks are a great band with a strong Latin mix like the Texas Tornados. Lord, I miss Doug Sahm, Freddy Fender, and Oscar Tellez. These guys really defined a key part of the Texas music scene. The Mavericks are a key part of Texas music culture.

Saw them at ACL in Austin. Every stage vacated and moved over to the 2nd largest stage and they stole the whole show. They blew the lights out and I was hooked. It's been years and I have never wavered.

The man's name is Alex Ruiz. Lives in Austin and sings for a group called Del Castillo. Two brothers[Del Castillo] do all of the guitar work. Flamingo/ rock band . Gives you some idea just how good they are. Alex is a great front man in his own right. Do some research.
