I can't comprehend all the hate. I actually love the fact that Overkill made a backstory for Wick in Payday and arranged this video, instead of just pushing him into the game to complete the deal with Lionsgate. Yet you are all acting like there is an advertisment on half on your screen all the time ingame. You don't like it, then just don't play as Wick. I can only congratulate Overkill and hope Payday 2 will keep on getting better.

@@Average-Friday-Enjoyer I can't blame overkill for not updating the console versions. the team has to work with an incredibly outdated and terrible engine (the diesel engine) on PC, so I can't imagine them trying to work with the console versions. a crappy engine, jaguar CPU's that can barely run the game, and console update costs? they'd lose more money than they'd make. however, payday 3 is going to be using unreal engine 4 and has a large budget so it would be stupid for overkill to not port the game to consoles and update it alongside PC

Just to clear things up: Payday 2 is a Swedish game, which is why this takes place in Sweden. Also, "polis" is obviously Swedish for "police". The police unit you see in this video is called Piketen, and is Sweden's equivalent to SWAT. Nice to see that they got to use Piketens actual gear, they really do look exactly like that. Really cool video!

"Polis" is "police" in several languages apparently (malay and turkish for example), so I don't think it's right to say it's obvious it's Swedish for police. It is set in Sweden though, you're right about all of that.

When a game recreates this effect, its called dynamic lighting

+PhantomSavage Strangely enough, the cops are surprisingly good when it comes to releasing hostages: they never fire at civilians in front of them, event if a player's behind them. It's the dumb civilian AI that causes most civvie deaths because they run directly into the shower of bullets from players. That, and tasers. Seriously, those dudes are more messed up in the head than bulldozers and cloakers combined. Fuck them and their shitty little gimmick.

I've listened to all of them, it's over 12 minutes worth of dialogue. Also the tie in with payday was probably made after the film was done, they aren't related in any way except a cameo for publicity. As for ripping from the movie itself, they tend to be touchy with keeping that to themselves only.

If you are going to have the Swedish Police - then at least make them have the correct weapons. Dear lord... This would have needed a small bit at the end, where Chains introduces Wick to the rest of the gang with Wolf making a comment that is some reference to some old movie keanu was in like Bill & Teds bogus journey.

I saw the movie and it was fun! The criminal underground universe in the film really fits with the Payday one! It also had a strong Blood Money feeling, like a dark european graphic novel.

Soooo... This is how John joined the group? He just shot a dude and he is allowed to rob a russian mobster? And I know that the reason why he got in was because he knew Chains, but come on! New Hoxton I can understand, but this is just some random dude that nobody (except Chains) knows about. And from what Chains said when John called him, it sounds like they haven't talked with each other in months, maybe years, so John could be an undercover cop for all we know.

I just want to say overkill thank you for all the free dlc and the game itself I play on xbox 360 but still thank you for releasing the safecracker edition I'm actually going to pick it up after work tomorrow and today I purchased the dallas mask off your website I can't wait for the content you will release later in the future and hopefully by christmas I will get a pc that can play payday 2 and all the dlcs but once again thank you very much for this game and thank you for the memories have a wonderful day!

I love how everyone's trolling over this video when it has almost 1,500 likes and only 35 dislikes..... Only trolls or people who don't really care for videos comment like that. I think it's rather nice that they are adding new characters to the Payday because lets face it in a world as corrupt Paydays the Payday crew can't be the only ones who have the skills or background to be a criminal even if it's a character that came from a movie they are working with it.
