Hello there fellow Texan (I'm down in Austin). I'd love to hear how y'all are doing this! Are you building it from scratch or are you using something to guide you along the way?

@@gibsonedu We are building it out from our school token system, in which teachers can give out currency for their classroom that can be redeemed for rewards. For instance, I give out Pierson Dollars, the principal gives out what he calls Ace Cards, et cetera. What I think we could do with Paygrade is assign jobs and allow students to practice investing and managing payments, and having a “Trading Thursday” in which students can come to the “stock exchange” to exchange Paygrade earnings for tokens for various classes. We are getting a stock exchange style display that will have set exchanges between Paygrade dollars and each type of token given at the school. I don’t know if I communicated that in the most clear manner, but that’s the gist of what I am trying to build.

@@PacificTime369 Love the idea of Trading Thursday! I opened up the stock exchange for my students but don't really set aside in-class time to do so some are really into it and some of them are like 'what stocks?' Haha. Sounds like a really awesome system! Let me know if there's anything I can do to support y'all. I know the developer of PayGrade is also super responsive to messages as well.

Great video! Thank you so much. Also, I think it's 100% free now. When I login to my account, there is no option to "upgrade to plus" like I see on yours and I have all the features that are blocked on your video.

Yeah they just recently got support from a big bank and were able to make all the features free which is awesome!

This looks incredible and I'd love to be able to use it with my students. I tried registering as a teacher but it says it's not available in my country. :( Do you know if there are any plans to make it available to Canadian teachers?

I tried as well for my class at an international school in Taipei, Taiwan ---- sadly it said the same thing.

I used this in Canada with my student all year but in June it became unavailable .. i really hope it comes back for September !!

@@JessandtheCrew Yeah me too! I know they merged with a big banking company and not sure if that has something to do with it.

My district approved the use of this App for me huzzah! I wanted to ask though - When I assign students a job, they are payed biweekly. Rent is due the 1st of the month...if I start using this app say...Jan 5th, students will owe rent before they have received a full month's worth of pay. Do you combat this by having your signing bonus? Thank you in advance!

Hey Doglegs :) In the past, I didn't have them pay rent on that first month to combat that issue. You can also use a signing bonus to make up for it too.

It appears that paygrade became Stash 101, and I can't find paygrade anywhere. Would you by any chance know if it still exists?

It doesn't unfortunately. The two next best options are ClassEquity and Banqer.

New teacher from Australia here. I'm unable to make an account. Do you know if Stash 101 will make this available in Australia?

Hey Daniel. Right now it's only available in the US and Canada but I know they're working to expand that. Since it's a 'financial literacy' app, there are lot more regulations around it.

@@danielwalldorf3275 Right on! Yeah mykidsbank is a bit dated in their interface but it's a solid and simple to use platform!
