Hi friends! Let the pearls begin! Lots of great clean pearls!
I’m back to my old days of Pearl pours! However I’m doing larger canvases, which I think show off fluid pours beautifully!
I talk about paint thickness and not using satin enamel!

Stunning! Years ago when I first got into this art form I would get these pearls without trying. All I used was regular floetrol, cheap paint and water…2:1:1. So yes it does work. The simplicity and composition of this piece is beautiful.

Love your pours and I am totally impressed you are getting that cloudy effect without any satin enamel. That Artist loft white never fails to give a ton of pearls/cells. Beautiful, Dwight! 🥰

thanks for being honest as i cant get artist loft in Australia i learnt a few years ago after watching mellyd and sara mack that it was never about the satin enamel as i did everything they said and had no artist loft, then after i figured it out i was always pushed back with everyone in comments sayin git was the satin enamel i knew it wasnt haha then the artist loft changed for a while and noone could get the cloud and this effect proving again it was no tthe satin enamel seem you have the satin enamel people here to i love your work oneday i hope to get just one bottle of artist loft but its about $90 australian to get at the moment not good for a cheap paint

Yep! Thinned paints will cell! I’ve been saying that for years….most people don’t thin enough…however on my more recent pearl pours I was doing thicker paints and still got cells….crazy that artist loft is so expensive for you! But, you might find some alternatives out there!

This is really cool!!!! Wasn't there a controversy about the white a while ago? It was making more white cells than what was wanted. Wouldn't that account for the pearl formation? Regardless, this is beautiful!!!! TFS

well, yes... I found that the newer Artist loft White after 2019 seemed to change and just eat up my colors with all kinds of cells/pearls. So, I had to change it up slightly. However, I love these pours, Dwight!
