What worked for us in Vanuatu. One stays on the controls, the other jig. The moment he sticks a fish the boat needs to pull the fish as quickly as possible away from the structure, 30-50m to prevent him reefing you. Tight lines Screaming Reels, Hold on and enjoy the ride on the PE8 setups

Epic session bro💯 and the bkk jacket in the biggining looks mint😎 it just go's to show that sometimes no matter how prepared you can be sometimes you just hook in to submarines that just leave you going back with only stories to tell🙈

Try running a leather leader for the doggies bro 🤙🏻😂

I experienced that 3 yrs ago in Madagascar - 80lb braid, 6m x 200lb leader - 200g jigs, 70m depth. 37 ons between 6 of us, not 1 turned, all chaffed off the leader - not 1 the braid. Absolute brutes, but what an experience.

hi Mark. I' be at Togo for a year for business. I am planning to go fishing. I have a 80 lb popping rod and Twin power 8000 PG reel. is that enough for those fish? I! ve never experienced Atlantic ocean fishing and I have some concerns about my setup. Your advices are much appreciated
@markkleinenberg8457 Жыл бұрын
@@borasendil1383 I think 8000 too small - big Daiwa Dogfights or 18000/20000 for the big doggies. Otherwise ok for the rest. Not too sure of popping rod for the doggies - short jigging rod for them - unlikely to catch the doggies on the surface.

CHALLENGE !!! Love the channel mate can't wait to get back to Airlie myself. Wondered if you've ever tried switching hands so you keep your strong (right) hand on the rod and REEL WITH LEFT? Watching you guys constantly switch hands when fighting big fish is nerve racking.😄 It took me about five trips out to get used to it and now it feels SO MUCH BETTER. (Especially when working smaller lures) I CHALLENGE YOU TO GIVE IT A TRY. 👍
