I have 4 Wancher pens and love them all! The Rising Sun Maki-e is simply stunning, the True Ebonite in polished black is nearly the perfect “basic fountain pen”. But the True Urushi pens are my favorites. The Vermillion is beautiful, and the Aka-Tamenuri will age into a gorgeous pattern of burgundy/vermillion. Needless to say, I anticipate adding more to my collection!

Ohmigosh! How exciting! I've never seen these pens before, and they are so, so lovely! I really love the box as well, and I'm not normally excited about packaging. I can't wait to hear about your writing experience. (Also, I just have to say how much I really love that colour of yellow of your top. I painted my livingroom that yellow, it's my favourite colour. And it made me so happy to hear your puppy's little woofles, she is so sweet!)

OMG ! When your pups growled I nearly jumped out of my skin ! The stereo sound of my earbuds made the initial sound sound like a person mimicking an animal outside. I was quietly sitting in my living room at night listening and I totally jumped and squealed. This in turn caused my husband to freak out because I freaked out. "What's that noise ?!" I yelped. "What noise ?!" He said, fear racing across his brow. "That animal sound." I said. "Do you have your earbuds in," he asked, relaxing a bit. By then your pup had barked a second time and you were talking about him and I realized the source of the sound. It was very funny. (Nice pens.)

I went crazy over the holidays with Wancher sales and I picked up 5 fountain pens from Wancher. They were fairly easy to order from and work with and so far I am very pleased. Great to see you reviewing these and enjoyed your reactions to each one.

What fun! Such lovely pens. I could wish to have allowed my passion for fountain pens to emerge before I had become so old. As it is, I have one expensive, "grail" pen (Pelikan Souverän m805 Stresemann broad nib -- writes well in reverse for normal letters), which will be a primary correspondence pen until my handwriting deteriorates and I pass it on to my pen-loving son -- and must content myself with the vicarious pleasures you and your fellow reviewers open to me. Many thanks for lettiing me experience these splendid Wanchers!

I love wancher pens! :D I have the Wancher Aizu Urushi Sandalwood. Its very light in the hand and I love how I can see the grain of the wood. The laquer becomes more shiny the more you use it :)

Thank you Alicia! I've been a fan of Wancher since I purchased my Urushi Aka Tamernuri. When I received it it had some nib issues and Wancher performed additional servicing to get it to write just perfectly. I just wish they would go back to providing ebonite feeds with and/or Fine 14k/18K Nibs as they did in the past. Enjoy the Wancher Writing Experience!

I have 3 of the Wancher pens, and have really enjoyed them. They offer some very nice Urushi lacquer pens at reasonable prices. The nibs do a great job.

OT: I've been wanting a Kaweco Sport in the raw brass like yours for the longest time. I got it today and it didn't disappoint. It feels so good in the hand and almost feels like it has a life to it. That's probably due to it being a raw metal and how small it is when it's closed. I was constantly rubbing and touching it. It will be fun to watch it age! These pens are beautiful but I will have to just watch. I really like the teal one .
