Mine is still on the way. It was near the end of a batch of nibs and their quality control weren't happy when they tested it, so they contacted me to explain and agree to wait for a new nib or switch to a different size nib. I'm very happy with the way they've communicated all of this, and their English speaking contact was perfect for a few emails back and forth, (and they were very quick with replies). And thanks for your video! I'm even more excited waiting for it to arrive now.

Beautiful pen!!! I just saw it on your GO To Pens video and had to find its dedicated video review. It’s too rich for my blood, but absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the eye candy! 😍

I was eyeing that pen, but then I decided to get the Zogan Sakura River in Urushi Red. I would expect they are similar in experience though. Thanks for your awesome videos, stay safe.

I have the same pen!!! 😁 It is a lot more stunning in person and, at least for me, that made up for their delays and production problems. It's my prettiest pen so far 😍 I have the same tamenuri finish with a silver sakura roll stopper and 18k bold nib... Not the original nib i ordered but writes like a dream. I like to pair it with mont blanc poppy red. I'm in love with this pen! ♥️ Ps... I love your red feed and made me wish i ordered the same 😍

I have the True Urushi with the Wancher 18k gold nib by Japan nib master with an ebonite feed. The nib is a medium Japanese nib; it is very smooth, soft and writes in a nice juicy fine reverse. Believe me, the upgrade is worth it!

It’s true that Chinese Lacquer is very hardy material. My Nakaya has no micro scratches. It’s just a shame it’s price don’t make it very practical for everyday carry.

118 degrees? Holy Heat Wave Batman! That's horrible! I have to give you pen-cred for doing a video in such conditions! Thanks for this video, I have wondered about how this pen looks, feels and writes.

IIRC a little birdy had to tell you about this kickstarter lol. I paid ¥85200 (US $770) for 2 urushi with the early bird backing. This was March 2018 and I didn't get my pens until April 2019.

I'm wondering why I paid almost 2K for the Namiki #50 Urushi Vermilion
@bornacisar5 жыл бұрын
The Wancher true Urushi is very nice, but no comparison to the Namiki Emperor. Just the #50 nib is in totally another category... I think the true Urushi is probably comparable to the Pilot Custom 845 (the Pilot Custom Urushi is bigger).

@@bornacisar Thanks for the comment I was thinking aloud : ) - still that's a huge difference in price which had me thinking if it's worth it...I do not have it yet it's being held hostage by Canada Customs at the moment

I went to wancherpens.com and it was all in japanese. I clicked on the english flag indicator and only a couple of things turned to English, mainly the bit that said "this pen is not sold outside of Japan". Exit stage left.
