Best police chase story I've ever heard. So my friend and roommate, both of his daughters were born on Christmas day(tomorrow, this post came right in time) My friend wasn't always an honest man but he was definitely a very loving father. So there he was driving back from his last stop at the store and his car is filled to the brim with presents for both of his daughters and his wife, both for his daughters birthday and obviously Christmas. This is when a cop gets behind him and turns on the lights trying to pull him over. My friends first thoughts were "This car is going to get impounded if I get pulled over and my daughters birthday/Christmas I'd going to be ruined" so naturally he starts to evade the officer. About 5 minutes later there's 11 police cars following him driving 45 mph(the speed limit) he realizes how fucked he is but continues to drive to his house hoping he can throw the presents on the lawn when he gets there. He pulls up and almost immediately gets tackled. The cops immediately start tearing his car apart thinking he was evading because he had drugs or something. His whole family is on the porch freaking out seeing this, his wife had to restrain one of his daughters because she was trying to fight one of the cops screaming "don't take him" he was trying to tell the police his story and they didn't believe him. So he's in jail the day after Christmas and gets to see the judge. He explains the story and the judge tells him "I'm going to give you a PR bond and your next court date is tomorrow, bring both of your daughters birth certificates to prove the story." Sure enough my friend brings the birth certificates. The judge immediately drops the entire thing. He says something along the lines of "being a father is hard isn't it?"

I'm now imagining how stupid a high speed chase in the Invisible Boatmobile would be and cackling

If you look as the first car comes out from beneath the underpass, the helicopter zooms in on a car, zooms out, then back in again. When he zooms out, if you look to the right of the intersection, you can see a car coming out of the underpass going the other way. I think that's him/them. Fucking amazing luck or whatever that this dude had. Not many people get that lucky.

Charlie really got me in the Christmas spirit for police chases, and I ain't complaining about it either. This is now my favorite kind of content from him!

They end up with that many units at a scene beause so many units are solo. They hear a radio call, think "oh no my blue brother's under threat" and all rush there... Which is also why there's so often needlessly violent outcomes, they rush to the scene with all kinds of imagined danger and react to their imagination instead of the actual scene.
