“For homeowners who want that Ideal balance of pressure and flow”…. Can the active 2.0 fall into this category with appropriate gun, wand and turbo nozzle? When comparing the 2 am I correct in this unit will achieve a higher working pressure at the nozzle and less flow and the Active 2.0 will achieve much less working pressure at the nozzle but better flow? Is that an accurate statement? Also the Active 2.0 is built with a longer life compared to this Cat, correct? Just trying to wrap my head around what to get since I don’t necessarily need the wheels and I am not a car detailer. I just want the best combo for personal vehicle washing and around the house use (driveway with appropriate surface cleaner) sidewalk (turbo nozzle), house (rinsing off pollen etc).

That's an excellent question. Similar to what you said, the CAT 1850 can achieve more pressure where you need it as it has a wider range of PSI output on a 15A circuit. We built the CAT 1850 to be more adaptable for around the house applications due to its mobility and storage units, and more accessible to users due to its lower price point, whereas the 2.0 has grown far more popular for detailing applications and has a higher price point. That being said, if you were to use the Active 2.0 around for household tasks, you'll see that it can achieve superior results because of its 5-Piston Pro Pump and combination of high GPM (2.0) and PSI (1800 peak PSI), which surpasses the CAT 1850 3-Piston pump, 1.4 GPM and 1850 peak PSI. Value wise for what you are wanting I think the Active VE52 is the best value. Almost the same performance as the 2.0 and the accessories that come with it are the same. One of the best hoses you can get out of the box. If you want longer life and can afford it then 2.0 is the way to go, but it has no storage for the accessories and the VE52 does. So many good options with the Active/CAT lineup.
