This scene will always be among my top favorites from this show. Even as reruns, it gets me every time. I love the way it ended because it's open to interpretation. The scene was intense and so well-acted.

I pray that there are people like Finch and Reese who really exist and attempt to balance the scales. While their acts of vigilance are fictional we all know that every other aspect of this show is pure reality where guys like Finch and Reese would be characterized as the villains.

9luckycharm111 It's left ambiguous what he did to him. I guess you can either assume that Reese, being the hero let him live in the hope he wouldn't do it again or you can assume that Reese, never really being that straight forward and being a bit of a moral grey area, killed him. I love scenes like this, they're really dark and sometimes make us question the morality of our hero. There was a similar scene in 3x04 which had a more obvious ending but it was sufficiently ambiguous and highlighted Reese's dark side. And for all they're really dark, I do like scenes like this. There was a similar scene in 8x01 of Doctor Who 'Did he fall? Or was he pushed?' which all ways brings me back to this scene. It always snaps us into a different view point with scenes like this, which means we get to see these shows in a different light, which I think is very clever when used correctly.

Reese probably sent this guy to oblivion in a Mexican prison like he did to those other guys.
