Limited number of places to go with the story, and eventually they'd just be recycling scenarios and adding more and more weirdness just to keep from getting bored. Best to shut it down while you can still keep the standards high, rather than push until you've jumped the shark.

Yeah I wish it could go on forever, but I'm glad it ended before it got milked to death and turned into a disappointment. The main story was alright, but I'm far more interested in the people they save every episode, as well as the chemistry between the boys.

I watched this whole, long series. There wasn't one bad episode. The premise was good. But what was more impressive is how they kept making really good stories out of it, every episode. Favorite characters sadly departed as it extended for several seasons. But as the larger arc evolved they were always replaced with excellent new favorite characters. @victorpradha99462 жыл бұрын
I liked how Visualize was just a device orchestrated by Greer to justify the shift towards what became Samaritan. Greer felt Northern Lights, Finch's close system AI threat alert system was NOT aggressive enough at rooting out emerging threats. Greer wanted pre-emergent threat neutralization. The reveal about Visualize was well done. I had suspected about how the Visualize folks were so organized, almost militarized in their tactics and had so much knowledge about the surveillance program.

Do you guys think that Reese's number came up and that's how Finch got the idea of recruiting him? Finch says he's tried to "drink himself to death", it would be a cool thing that Finch saved Reese by giving him a goal.
@AriThecraftydragon4 жыл бұрын
Spoiler: . . Finch saw Reese years before after Jessica's number came up. Knew about Reese then and what Reese would do. Photos of Jessica, her husband, & Reese were in Finch's folder. I'm not sure if Reese's number came up again since it doesn't with suicides but that would be an interesting idea. Maybe as the Perpetrator again instead?
@backyardshenanagins17202 жыл бұрын
Okay so essentially when Finch had gotten Jessica’s number he stumbled upon Reese’s character and further researched both history’s. We eventually see later in the show how Finch originally saw Reese in person which was when he recovered from the explosion he was caught in when Reese bumped into Finch when he was in a roller. So Finch did have info on him and his past along with any present information on him when he first saw him. My assumption is upon figuring out that the explosion he was caught in wasn’t merrily an accident that he began looking into figures which may be able to carry out with the system the machine and he had made. ( which of course we see that he originally had Dillinger work with him before things went to shit) it was then I believe Finch looked back upon Reese and his file to which her believed Reese may be the next best option to fill the role. This is solely why Finch had to wait for the right setting to get Reese to meet him (of course it could be theorized Finch used the machine to guide the lackies down in the subway to Reese’s car in the hopes Reese would lash out at scum and get arrested.

I just finished watching this series in 2022. I am so sad the studio cut that last season short just because the distributer (CBS) didn't own the show. What a petty reason for cutting off something great. Also in heaps of shows you invest so much time and go on such a journey with the characters it would be good to finally achieve that journey and then get to see what happens rather than just seeing a series of wrap up scenes 5 min before the end. Finch learnt so much about his Machine and it came to know him a little better, it would have been good to see what the machine could have been capable of with Finch trusting it a little more than he did for the entire series before that. Also having defeated Samaratin, it would have been good to see the team spread its wings without the constant threat of slaughter holding them back. Detective Fusco was in the dark about what was really going on the whole series, so it would have been good to see what he could have done without everythign being kept from him. We were shown right at the end that the Machine had just started putting together other teams to work the Numbers so it would have been good to see more of their dynamic. The machine only got a voice right at the end so we only really head from it as a character right at the end, so it would have been good to see more of the machine. Also Finch finally got to get back together with his fiance and all we see is them look at each other! What the hell. As a viewer, I hate being at the mercy of the studios as to whether the shows I like get to be made.
