Ditto. And the last scene was one of the very best ever period.
@mish3753 жыл бұрын
The Root Shaw thing felt like bad fanfiction to appease the fanboys on the show. Shaw was a bland and unlikeable character the entire time. Why she was a main character and not Elias is beyond me. And Root was mentally unstable and abusive - while they managed to make her a complex character, she shouldn't have ever been in a relationship with anyone. The first 3 seasons had great writing but from 4 onwards it went downhill.

@@ofsevim JJ Abrams isn't exactly the benchmark of great creativity. He's decent, but gets too bogged down in making things look cool and PC to appease the executives that ultimately his work suffers from it. so bummed the writers decided to kill off everyone off and shortened the series.
@mymadcatdiary29575 жыл бұрын
Jinzo 2400 CBS shortened the series because they wouldn't order more than 13 episodes for s5. The writers did the right thing by recognising they should take that opportunity to conclude the story.
@Jinzo-dy3th5 жыл бұрын
@@mymadcatdiary2957 That was because ratings were sharply declining,most fans point out the fact that the show killed off way too many important characters that viewers had a vested interest in.....the show ended way before its time.
@mymadcatdiary29575 жыл бұрын
Jinzo 2400 no, CBS weren't making enough money because the show was owned by WB. It's only because WB negotiated with CBS for a short final season that POI had a chance to wrap up the story. It had nothing to do with any fan reaction positive or negative to any character(s) (though I'm sure that people only ever mean Carter) dying. Ratings declines year to year were 32 & 2% for s3&4, slightly average to slightly above average. They were not "falling sharply".
@Gigator5 жыл бұрын
@@mymadcatdiary2957 Thank you, exactly! PoI was a critical success and ratings wise was very decent. The production was owned by another studio, so CBS was not making a lot of money from it, compared to productions that were in house. Carter is the only major character I remember being killed that was a loss and sort of sudden (at least prior to the end of S05). The others (government guy in the nuclear reactor, Mark Snow, Kara) felt earned and like they played their part well and to the end. And regarding Joss Carter, Taraji P. Henson wanted to leave PoI so she could do other things (Empire for example). All I have heard about it was that they parted on good terms and it was a mutual decision. So you can't really fault the writers for that one alone.

One of the best eps of POI. Jim Caviezel is a brilliant actor, deserves every award going.
@keithdean91494 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I have to say no. Jim Caviezel is a devout Christian and will not do sex scenes. Watch him in this series and in "The Count of Monte Cristo," every time his character is supposed to have sex they do a cutaway and if he is shown in bed with a woman there is always something, sheets usually, placed between them. That would not work for Bond. I've heard they are working on a sequel to "The Passion of the Christ" and he will again be portraying Jesus.

I think he was really good in this role, but I have a feeling he wouldn´t be as good in other roles, because I don´t think i have ever seen him as anthing other than stoic calm.
