Peter i had the same problem all the time- i just could not wake up before 11 or 12 in the afternoon and I kept going to sleep from 2am to 5am and i hated it. But last year i started waking up at 6am everyday and its the best thing I've ever done, i have time to have a big breakfast, shower, get dressed nicely, do some drawing watch some videos and more all before school and weekends too!. Unfortunately i kind of got out of the swing of it over Christmas, but to go to sleep i put my phone, ipad etc away, dim my light (a staw hat over my lamp) and i lie in bed and read or sew, i try not to listen to music or watch videos while i do this so my brain relaxes and realises its tired. I also started last year when i was struggling to sleep i started reading oscar Wilde "the ballad of reading gaol" Its a great poem but very very very long. I also realised I couldn't sleep if I hadn't burned enough energy that day- so i started going on more walks during the day.

Sweet, love these podcasts. I think I'm the first one here!? Also, I am probably the worst of anyone alive at waking up early. I missed so many 8am classes... even though I'd hear my alarm, I would subconsciously turn it off like I had no reason to wake up at such an early time. Resolution: Art more. I love drawing and arting, but I am guilty of not putting in enough time into it. I also would like to try other media like watercolor, acrylic, digital, etc.

I appreciate this podcast so much. I have trouble getting my homework done, just becaude I am obsessed with listening to podcasts and having a constant stream of information coming into my ears. I think it is more about having someone talking to me. But this is amazing because its just ramblings. No one expects me to listen or answer, and Im not tempted to engage my mind in what he is saying instead if focusing on my work. And when I do want to tune my mind into what he is saying, it is enjoyable! I wish he would make these more often :') they are so helpful and I listen to them over and over again.

I’ve heard that people who follow those ridged sleep schedules are able to enter REM much quicker than those who don’t. They don’t really spend a lot of time trying to fall asleep, they just go to sleep. Also, those sleep schedules can be really dangerous because once your 20 minutes are coming, there’s really no fighting the sleep. You don’t fall asleep instantaneously, but I’ve heard it’s close to it.

hey peter, about the sugar free redbull, me and a friend of mine had to do an assignment on somthing and sice we are both quite fond of these drinks we decided to do it on energydrinks, our conclusion was that one energydrink a day is not damaging to adults at all and even have some positive effects (reduced chance on cancer for example) altough in cobination with to much coffee the ammount of cafeine and taurine in your body can rise beond a healthy amount and the risk of heartproblems enlarges by a whole lot, i suggest you google how much mg of caffeine you can consume a day based on your bodyweight (i forgot the exact numbers) and regulate your energydrink/coffeconsumption based on that. sorry for my grammar mistakes btw english isn't my native language, if you see some, please point them out (if there aren't to many) i can only learn from it, thanks for the awesome vids
@lightesque1407
@lightesque1407 5 жыл бұрын
Your english is epic. "please point them out (if there aren't to many)" literally most everything is perfect except to, referring to amounts of things, like TOO much caffeine; (it should have two "O"s. But, your english as far as I can tell is basically what a native speaker would write, without the dozens of spelling errors.

there's just so much more to waking up and feeling incredible.... I have enough sleep (most of the time) but I alway get up feeling mushy and unmotivated etc....so I kind of have to force myself getting up. But if I start a good (for me) morning routne, I'l feel quite good and energyzed in about 1-3 hours....depends. And then I am usually fit for the day, with an afternoon nap of 20 min. Also, boosting my iron and having a real vacation for more than 4 days helped getting in a good shape again XD Just keep looking, you'll find your thing, that works for you. And I am a big fan of going with your own bilogical clock......I know doing that is a luxury, but if you can affort to have it...do it :)

The fruit fly eggs are on the peel. Dr. Tip: rinse your bananas right when you get them and you won't have flies. Also as someone who plays a doctor, I must say you tried your best for a sleeping schedule, but some people have different circadian rhythm. I recommend sleeping in 90 minute increments. You can combine them if you want, but if you sleep for any amount of time that can be evenly divided by 90 minutes you will be very happy when you wake up. Trust me! At least try it once.

Peter this is not a definitive answer, but I do have an educated guess on why that guy was asking for money. From what I know from my dad (he was a drug addict for 13 years) is that he would do anything to be able to get money for his addiction. People in these situations tend to think that they can get more money from you by hanging out with you. It comes from a long addiction that they find the best ways to do it. They make you think that they are good people by being nice, and talking about life, hanging out etc. This isn't always the case but I do have experience from my dad trying to do it with me and after I've given him money one time, I followed him and all he did was go to a guy at his house, come out with his hands in his hoodie pockets, and then go sleep at another friends house for hours. Never did what he said he would.

i find sometimes the body needs a completely crazy thing in order to reset your internal clock ... whats the word ... oh yeah Nap . THATS IT you need a nap just 20 minutes i promise you will feel it and dont set an alarm or anything just if you notice that if you are even the slightest sleepy in the middle of the day just take even a 2 minute nap but 20 is reccomended and it totally messes with your sleep cycle and your body says hey what are you trying to do to me im suppose to go to sleep at 11pm not 5pm and or if you have the problem i had where i wasnt waking up in time for things so i started going to bed earlier and earlier and earlier and for that i had to set an alarm but it worked eventually i got up earlier and earlier and then i traveled and it felt like i hadnt traveled at all and when i got back i started going to bed later and later just to reset my time schedual

I believe we would have a delightful conversation if we should happen to meet on the street one day. I do not believe this has a chance of happening as we live on opposite sides of the country, but you might be vacationing one day and there we go! I enjoy your videos and I hope your taking care of yourself and being careful. Have a better tomorrow!

i tried to flip my day/night cycle, but i think i broke something. as of this posting, i've been awake for a straight 32 hours and i'm not at all sleepy. my eyes are burning and my muscles ache, but no sleep.
