One of the world's most gifted vocalists, Dimash Kudaibergen takes us through an epic journey with Ogni Pietra, showing the more operatic side of his training -- he ranges from baritone all the way up through high soprano within this one song, demonstrating his vocal range that is truly one-of-a-kind. What's your FAVORITE Dimash song? The song with the most comments will likely be the next one I do a video for ;) Also, you'll see that I was up against the same copyright grievances as last time, but I have no doubt all of you have already watched the original video tons of times 😁

He has a few more in an Operatic style. My next choice would be Ave Maria! ❤ For regular stuff, I prefer his ballads with Igor. Love Is Like A Dream would be my first choice. Sinful Passion, Your Love, The Love of Tired Swans, to name a few more. They are all beautiful. ❤❤❤

This is the first piece that Igor Krutoy wrote specifically for Dimash’s voice. And a beautiful partnership began. It still blows my mind that billionaire Igor came out of retirement to write songs that only one person on planet earth can sing. What a joy that must be. Great analysis! A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿

I think the no vibrato is a choice, as he is able to do it - as seen in his performance for Ave Maria (2021) he kept it almost all vibrato I think 🤔🤔🤗 That is the song I would recommend next 🔥🔥
@FlavianTicaDeme
@FlavianTicaDeme 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it was his option to do or not to do vibrato in some parts of the song ! Remember he does vibrato at his famous D8 for 5 seconds ! He can do vibrato in all the octaves of his vocal range !

This song was written specifically for Dimash and the opening ceremony of the II European games in Minsk in 2019. It was the first work that Igor Krutoy and Liliya Vinogradova created for Dimash. Dimash is an opera singer too and so he sings this song in Italian (the language of music), with an opera voice (Bariton - Sopran). No one else then Dimash can sing this song alone. In December 2019, the song “Olimpico” performed by Dimash Kudaibergen became the Song of the Year 2019 in Russia. The authors of the composition shared the triumph with the artist. Igor Krutoy, music titan in Russia (billionaire) and a world-famous composer who came out of retirement to work together with Dimash from time to time. Lilia Vinogradova is known as a permanent co-author of the composer Igor Krutoy, with whom has created wonderful works in the crossover genre. Both created the cycle for Hvorostovsky, albums for Sumi Jo, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Aivazov, Lara Fabian and others. She says: 'And now we've added Dimash as a new element to our creative symbiosis.' * The trio also created the masterpiece 'Passione' - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/brekfMKX1bqtqJc.html * Here is the best performance so far: Olimpico/ OgniPietra - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mtGAhpmlnZrVl2g.html * Version at the first global online concert on January 16, 2021 - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/irJ_icqAncnaqGQ.html * Backstage-videos : * Dimash in Minsk. To analyze his operatic / classic vocal techniques in more detail, I recommend Ulisse and Ti Amo Così, both with opera singer Aida Garifullina, and the latter additionally with Lara Fabian. Ulisse is even more an opera song than Olimpico, which ts more like an epic war chant. Since you mentioned movies: Dimash has contributed to a movie soundtrack with Across Endless Dimensions. He is also acting in his music video Be With Me, a Michael Jackson-style pop song with operatic elements telling a short James Bond-style story.

Agree, Ulisse and Ti Amo Cosi are so far the closest Dimash gets to a sustained operatic voice for most of the performance.

Well, Dimash has even been up to D8 in his own composition, "Unforgettable Day" and thus being compared with Dolphins, and expecting only dogs being able to hear that note. If you watch other professional Musicians reactions to that performance( in Gakkau) then you will see wide open mouths, and many other expressions of incredulity. Yes, that's our boy, Dimash! Oh, and watch out for the "Diva Dance" rendition as well! Anyway, I am one who enjoys the reactions of depth of the professionals, so please continue with a great job!

There is a fan cam version of this performance where the sound quality is not a good, but the video is zoomed on his face the whole time with great views of his tongue and throat. The "Charismatic Voice" channel did a great break down using split screen with the official video and the fan cam video but using the higher quality audio and both videos perfectly sync'ed. If you watch that it will answer all your questions. Charismatic Voice is a vocal coach and Opera singer.

The name of the song is “Olimpico”. He sang this at the opening of the European Games a couple of years ago. Igor Krutoy wrote this especially for Dimash to sing in a stadium. He is singing it in a stadium again. He has done at least two movie soundtracks. One for a Jackie Chan movie. The other is for a sci-fi film that was supposed to be released last year. That song is online under “Creator: The Past”. 😊

There's another duet he does together with Aida Garifullina - they sing ULISSE. Put these on your list, please ;) I'd love to hear all the technique details of course, find it really interesting... Other than that Sinful Passion - the fan cam version, Across Endless Dimensions or Know are some of my favourites. Greetings from Poland! PS. Respected Sir Peter Barber what a interesting discussion this is! You go in sOoo much details which 90% of Vocal coaches would keep to themselves an MAKE YOU PAY for yet you a singer just REVEALING all the goods AWESOME man! Which would actualy explain why their videos are litterally as short as the performances and im left sitting "..uhh..thought this was a reaction" but anyway. You asking ALL THE RIGHT QUESTIONS including having an interview/sit down with DIMASH because thats litterally the only way to know for sure because each instrument is unique and whatever is required for your voice might be differently applied to another WELL DONE!!! HUGE respect for praising our Dimash for what he is doing and also respecting your own position. I'm glad you are proud and comfortable with yourself AS IT SHOULD BE but most people reacting are such FAKES many are just straight up ignorant and Hate for no reason and others insult Dimash calling him an ALIEN for doing stuff THEY CANT EXPLAIN. He is not Alien he is only what he ever claimed to be Neo classical POPERA Trained for 20years since age 5 still STUDYING his doctorate in music all his performance are SPECIFIALLY scheduled around his studies. Born with perfect pitch which allows him perfect placement swim for 2hours treadmill for 3hours and practice atleast 3hours every singing technique every morning before he starts his day YES he recognize singing is a FULL BODY SPORT. Cheers looking forwar to your future content! Respect!

Dear PETER, THANKS SO MUCH!!!!👍👍👍 I really Enjoy your explanations on this opera style singing. I'd LOVE to hear More as we go along!!! I'm intrigued by the questions of Stamina...what needs to be done to maintain it; and even caloric loss vs intake and diet. This is such strenuous work, like ANY athlete. I watched his concert in Khazakhstan, about 2 hrs. 20 min., and kept wondering HOW it could be possible???? By the way, You have such an Amazing voice, Singing AND speaking!!!👍👍👍❣❣❣ It's a true pleasure to listen to you!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰 Thanks again; good to see you back and doing more of DIMASH!! I'D Highly recommend 'AKINAIDE' from 2 months ago...Tokyo Jazz Festival. VERY DIFFERENT TYPE of song, simply beautiful. But not 'operatic'. Would just give you a sense of where he can go....and wonderful to listen to. Till next time....take care, and Good Luck!🙏👍👍👍❣❣❣🥰

Give a watch/listen to this performance of Olimpico in his digital concert in 2021. You can probably see his tongue there. I'm sure plenty of Dears will tune in to watch that too. We're besotted. Can't imagine what it's like having to wait to watch his performances. I'd be interested in hearing your analysis of The Meaning of Eternity. Barely anyone reacts to it.

Dimash generally goes up to E6 in his songs, including arguably his most popular songs, SOS and Sinful Passion. He goes up to D8 in the Gekku performance of Unforgettable Day, a song he composed as a teenager.

He does the F6 in Igor’s Krutoy’s version of Ave Maria, and the D8 in Unforgettable Day at Gakku….not opera. You might like Ulysses with Aida Garifullina, and Ti Amo Cosi with Aida and Lara Fabian. These last two are in a not to miss concert for Igor Krutoy’s 65th Anniversary Celebration, on Igor’s channel. Igor was in retirement, and his mother saw Dimash’s abilities on the Chinese I Am Singer 2017 Competition for advanced singers, and suggested the he go and see and meet Dimash, which was when he saw him sing Sinful Passion at the Kremlin Palace. As a result he came out of retirement to work with Dimash when possible. Igor is a famous Russian composer and pianist who has developed many stars for the Russian stage, including Lara, and I think, Aida. He is a self made multi billionaire, and often plays piano when Dimash is in his concert or competitions as a guest star. He retired, I believe, because he had run out of high end talent, and was pleasantly surprised with Dimash, and together they make a wonderful high end team. Dimash prefers concerts as he loves being face to face with fans/ his Dears that he loves like family, and when concerts are not on the table he releases lots of digital shows to keep them happy. His fans follow him from concert to concert in Asia. He has them in 140+ countries, and generally they are very intelligent, and from all age groups and ethnicities. His music is art and so is Igor’s, and I’m sure you will enjoy it all Most of us follow his life and travels as he is very interesting to watch how he copes with so much fame, but remains fully humble and displays Asian manners. Also his heart is with Kazakhstan where he is credited as a National Treasure, and he includes ethnic culture in his concerts. Across Endless Dimensions is an Italian movie theme sung in English which is wonderful in the movie version, with a very high end finish. His onstage version at Bastau is also great, as are all of them. He does many versions of songs as he wades through maturity. It is very interesting to watch some reactors vids of his development of SOS from when he was about 12 on.

According to an interview I red with lyricist of the song the actual title of the song is Olimpico. People began to refer to it as Ogni Pietra because those happen to be the first two words of the song. It kind of caught on so it's often referred to as Ogni Pietra.
