Nice work. Just had engine light come on in our 2004 Peugeot 206 1.1 and the P Code was P0265 on cylinder two injector - 'high current draw'. Engine still idled smoothly and drove normally. Left it overnight and the next morning the light went out and car drove perfectly. Still going to strip out the injectors to double check them as the exhaust does smell a bit rich and fuel economy has dropped from 47mpg to 41 mpg on a run.

Thank you, really useful video. I used to do all my own car maintenance and repairs but have had company cars for years and had lost the confidence to do my own work. My Peugeot 206 1.1 showed the engine check light and ran really badly so there was obviously something wrong. I bought a £20 standalone code reader and it had P0204, indicating Injector 4 faulty. DId a little bit of reading, watched a few videos (this one was definitely the most useful) and decided to have a go myself, stripped it down and tested the injectors one at a time, 4 was open circuit. Bought a new one from a motor factor for £17, fitted it and put it all back together. This video really helped and especially showing how the fuel rail connector sits. I wasn't sure if it was fully seated when I reassembled it all, it took a lot more force to get it to click back over the barb than I expected. Cleared the codes, started it up, watched carefully for leaks (tip, coloured paper towel is *really* useful for showing up leaks, it changes colour when it gets fuel, water, oil etc. on it) and now my old banger car is running as well as it ever did.

I’ve erased my codes four times in the last two weeks, just to see if it was a typical fault with the ecu throwing up codes when cold. It said that different injectors were faulty - do you think this could have been caused by injector fault or something more?

hmm....nice tutorial. I have a 2011 DS3 that has misfire and a check engine on high power demand and am planning to service the injectors firstly and see if this issue will be resolved. Would you know if the location of these nozzles is the same as this one?

Hello. I have a peugeot like yours and mine is idling rough when the engine is warm. Could the injectors be the problem? It goes from 500-600 to 1200 and then back down to 600RPM when idling but after some time it stabilises. Thanks.

My 307sw 2,0 starts misfiring when it reaches operating temperature 90 degress works perfectly when it's cool, think there is a fault with some fuel injector will short circuit when it gets hot...

My citroen c3 1.4i started to work like that peugeot on your clip and computer showed that injector 4 is not working properly. I put cleaning additive for injectors in my tank and drove for few days but it was just getting worse and worse. Today i arranged ultrasound cleaning of injectors for tomorrow but today when gas tank with additive was gone i filled it with new petrol without additive and car just started working normal and for more than 100 km that i passed tonight it was working perfect. Do you think that additive could be a trigger for increased symptoms of clogged injector or it was just coincidence and i should do that ultrasound cleaning anyways. Thank you so much for this video, it helped me remove and test all the injectors! At first my obd scan tool showed me faulty injector #1, when I tested them for resistance they all returned 12.5-6 ohms. I installed them back in random order and now it shows faulty injector #3.. I ordered a new one but can't figure out which is #3.. is there any diagram with the cylinder numbers? Thanks again!

My 206 1.4 glx has a missfire and down on power and also drinking petrol loads,Changed sparkplugs and coilpack but still the same,Sparkplug in cylinder 3 was pretty dirty and the others were fine,Would you recommend changing the injector on no3

Ok i'm about to attempt this job, but i am confused as the diagnostics said it was the 2nd injector but when testing with the multi meter it appeared to be injector 1 which was faulty? i haven't got a multimeter but the diagnostics said it was the 4th injector. any help clearing this up would be awesome.

Hi after replacement I've got this code (P0440 powertrain evaporative emission control system) now I check all the cables I disconnected and fule and air all reseated but unable to clear this code thx

so the conclusion is that only electrical faults can appear on these injectors? or this was just the case for this car...?

Madfox, im getting a permanent misfire error on cylinder 1 from Lexia diagnostics (diagbox) changed coilpack and plugs still the same. Im getting Ohm reading of around 13 on all of the injectors. Any ideas? cheers.
