In Tilburg, 1981, the 18-year-old prodigy Garry Kasparov faced the great world chess champion Tigran Petrosian. Kasparov was actually born in the same year in which Petrosian became world champion! This game is a two-way masterpiece as Kasparov displays his attacking chops and Petrosian shows why he is called "Iron Tigran"!
Lessons:
* Strong defenders never give up.
* Great attackers have an excellent sense of where to place their pieces. (Bf1!)
* In special situations, the king can fend for himself.

It's amazing how many legendary players Soviet chess school had produced. It's even more mind blowing how different their style was. Aggressive and adventurous Tal, mathematically precise and psychologically unbreakable Botvinnik, perfect defender and most uncomfortable to play against Petrosian, universal Spassky. Then almost perfect Karpov and Kasparov came as a as a chess crescendo, both able to attack with insane level of accuracy and Kasparov probably being the GOAT. It's even more amazing that Fischer was able to beat them being basically alone in this battle. What a legendary times for chess.

but that is crazy. It adds flavour to your commentary. Sort of spoken double exclamation mark.

It's not a king march. Petrosian doesn't make enough money in chess. So he's a rideshare delivery driver. He's just working.
