True. Especially cause it gives us Westerners a bad name. I love Japan, or rather Asia in general, and I hate that so many of us Westerners trample on the kindness expressed by Asians. They may not react as negatively about these things as people in our countries would, but they are as annoyed as we are, even if they don‘t show it. Just because you have a KZfaq channel it doesn‘t give you the right to misbehave. God I really hate to be part of this generation🙄

@@vrhiro7070 obviously I’m not saying language is the issue…. I’m not saying culture or customs are the issues… it’s the presumption and negative prejudices based on race, ethnicity or nationality. That’s a issue. By definition, they’re either being nationalistic, Xenophobic or ethnocentric. Could even be a mix. They’re not mutually exclusive, but it has to be at least one of them. Because they are factually discriminating (judging) foreigners based on something, that does not apply to native Japanese people. Thus it HAS to be one of those. It just depends on whether it’s on a personal level (racism) a country-wide level (nationalism) or on a ethnic level (ethnocentric). Feel free to argue against it though, don’t take this as personal hate anything, these are just observations and logical conclusions. I have nothing against any race, let alone the Japanese (who make so much cool shit).

You do not want to F with the police force in Japan, especially as a foreigner. Yakuza also are more integrated in all of it than people think. (Same actually goes for many places in the USA too and other countries. Apparently New Jersey is basically run by a form of mafia.) There are some places you can't just mess around in like that. @@josephcroeniangamer3727 I don't think you know how the reception for the game actually is in Japan. And "weterns" were the ones who came up with game initially, and Ubisoft is banking on it to be successful after financial blow after blow they have received the past few years, and judging from the game's "popularity"? Preorders or not - it's going to outright end the company. And it doesn't help that they hired a person that has a...questionable ethical background in regards to her work, to help write the game's story. Also - Yasuke was Nobunaga's sword retainer who was only dressed up as a Samurai as a joke. The dude. Was. Paraded. Around. As. A. J o k e.

I'd heard of this thing before (I watch Abroad in Japan), but this is the first time I've tried to think about this from a psychological perspective; the things those trash-tubers are doing is literally bullying, targeting a group they see as less likely to stand up for themselves, doing stuff to them that is clearly abusive, in order to big themselves up and further then own social standing. It's literally text book bullying.

When nux screamed "dungeon!" Around the 20 minute mark, i thought he as saying "danjin" since its a video about japan. The term "danjin" (断塵) in Japanese can refer to "abstinence" or "detachment from worldly desires," especially in a Buddhist context.

Japan's idea of using counter-terrorism as a possible means of dealing with this is actually correct in this case IMO. You can see what happened from actual events. It started with one nuisance streamer. Now how many of these nuisance streamers are going to Japan to mess things up in society? The number has clearly grown and the nuisance antics have grown into outright promoting criminality and doing actual crimes for content. If you think about it, this can be a way to destabilize the public morals of society in a fairly closed country like Japan. These people go there and make trouble, annoy the public, and likely influence the vulnerable to do the same. And then it spreads like a taint. Same thing with the poison overflowing from the West in social media. While it's not that many, you can actually find that some of the poison and brainrot from Western Twitter is actually spreading onto some Japanese people that are also terminally online. I think that the only reason why Japan is unable to outright deal maximum punishment to these criminal streamers is because the US has political leverage over the Japanese government. And Japan likely can't strain the international relations with the US because of the impending Chinese invasion.
