@@MrEddiethedog this is clearly him hitting the note next to the intended one. I dont know why you would assume the pianano was out of tune. The note sounds perfectly clear the next time he hits it.

@@MrEddiethedog if you don't mind. Please explain how the piano was out of tune there but not anymore in the next few passages he played the notes ex: 3:53 ? Also we clearly hear two notes play at nraly exactly the same time exactly like it would if you hit accidentally hit a black key while hitting the white key next to it.
@MrEddiethedog
@MrEddiethedog 10 ай бұрын
So this is all in good fun and opinion, not trying to start a spat. That said I think the smile after the bad key or note was him not believing that the piano was out of tune or had a dead key. No one is perfect and he could have played a bad note, but that's not what it sounded like to me. Also, it sounded like he played around that key for the rest of the song. That is as likely what happened, as him playing a bad note, which Phil Collins does not do much.@@znk0r

I remember this day from start to finish. I actively watched it all day on MTV from early morning (in the U.S.) until that evening and loved every minute of it. Yes, there were many a slip-up from different bands - that's what you get sometimes when performing live. Not every member can hit/sing every note perfectly...but it's fine! It's live music with energy...and that crowd was giving it back big time. And, as mentioned below, Phil Collins did play in London first and then flew in a Concorde to the U.S. to play on their stage that evening. It was awesome to see. I'll never forget it.

When I played drums, I lost or broke a stick more then once at the worst possible moments during a song. I learned the hard way, best thing you can do if you have a little hick-up like that, don't try to pretend it didn't happen and than bother about if you "got away with it" for the next minutes. That only distracts and you probably make more mistakes. Just own it, and smile it away. It happens to the best.

1) Yep, that was a "note mistake".... which obviously everyone ignored. 2) Phil Collin's "stage presence" has always been kind of "vanilla" in presentation.... but his LIST OF SONGS are among the best. 3) The fact that his "Live vocals" and "Studio vocals" were SO CLOSE makes any video with Phil (Live/Studio) worth listening to. 4) For nearly 20 years, this man was considered one of the BEST song-writers on the planet. Which is obvious by the number of times his songs topped the charts in both his solo career and time in Genesis. 5) While Phil's talent singing, on the drums and piano are undeniable... do NOT overlook the fact that his "band" were extremely talented as well..... touring with him for nearly 40 years.

In front of the world this guy is playing piano and singing without any back-up. Amazing. He explains his 'mistake' (good ear) in an interview (hot day, sweating). He never makes mistakes but you can see his cute, wry grin when he did. That is Sting sitting on the stage, btw. Phil Collins is a unique talent. Very authentic. Check out his acting in Phil the Shill from Miami Vice (free on Tubi TV with adverts). Check out more early Genesis you will be surprised at how they can ROCK. They have a great live video concert from 1980 at London's Lyceum Theatre. Phil is manic. Also, their live concert at Wembley Stadium is wonderful. ABACAB ROCKS.

"One More Night" is a nice slow, romantic song. "True Colors" is his version of the song from Cyndi Lauper. "You Can't Hurry Love" has a really nice upbeat rhythym to it, but my favorite from him would be either "Seperate Lives" or "I Don't Care Anymore". Both were written during his divorce for his cheating wife.

Miss Biss, You give me something special everyday that you post a reaction video. That alone is the highlight of my day, as I am disabled and sit in a wheelchair all day. I do not wish any sympathy from you or anyone else as I am just happy to have survived my incident. Yes, it happened while serving in the military back in 2004. I lost 1 leg, 2 toes on the other leg, 1 fractured hip, 1 shattered elbow, and shrapnel wounds/burns all over my face and head. Since I no longer resemble the pictures that were on my Facebook/IG, I completely got rid of all social media and do no wish to begin again. Some would probably say that I am creeping on you, as my youngest daughter is older than you. But I see a beautiful person that has similiar tastes in music and movies, so of course I am going to support and do everything I can to help you grow your channel. I am sorry for the long reply. ("Ramblin Man" great song from the Allman Bros, hint,hint) Keep up the great work that you do as I know it takes a lot of work to do what you do. Love ya as a friend. Peace, Love, and Happiness ❣😃@Dm-On-Tele.gram---Bisscute

bisscute , Yes it was a little mistake on keyboard, i explain : Phill Collins was a drummer, one of the best, he played on a band call GENESIS, performing drums ans second voice, when the lead voice (Peter Gabriel), left the band he begun to sing all songs, on live shows there was another drummer ( Chester Thompson), (Bill Bruford), and he plays drums too and sang all songs.

Phil Collins did a concert on HBO back in the day called "No Jacket Required" and he really gave it his all. If you want to see a full concert with him doing his hits, that's a great place to start.

2 things- 1) he was the only artist to play both live aid locations. Wembly stadium and then jumped on the Concord and play in the US. 2) when this song first came out, the love of my life had just left me. This song still slams me on the floor. I love your reactions. Please don't stop.
