I firmly believe if John Stanfa was a boss in Sicily he would have went down as one of the most ruthless bosses of all time. Ppl forget just how unhinged this fuckin guy was.
@willmosse3684 Жыл бұрын
In Sicily he wouldn’t have stood out. They go after families and stuff all day over there

@@willmosse3684 lol ok buddy. He was a boss in America for only 3 years and he’s one of the most ruthless guys ever. There’s a reason they gave him 4 life sentences and it’s not just because he was tied to multiple murders.
@willmosse3684 Жыл бұрын
@@BostonsF1nest He was ruthless, no doubt. But frankly, what he was doing in Philly in his tenure in the early 90s was nothing compared to what was going on in Sicily at that time. In that video they said something like 9 people were killed in his time before his arrest. You said he was tied to multiple murders. You know what was going on in Sicily at that time? Look up the 2nd Mafia War. Know how many people the Sicilian mafia killed between roughly 1980 and 1994? Literally thousands. Nothing the mafia in America has ever done even comes close. They were kidnapping each other’s children and torturing them to death. In 1991 and 1992, the same time as Stanfa’s reign in Philly, the Corleone Family, under orders from boss Toto “The Beast” Reina, attacked the Italian state, killing multiple judges, prosecutors, detectives and politicians. You have to look at the Cartel violence of Escobar to find something to compare that to. Stanfa was ruthless, no doubt. But next to Toto the Beast? Nah

@@willmosse3684 nothing compared because it was Philadelphia. Not Sicily. The rules are different. As far as American bosses go- Stanfa was extremely unhinged. Hence why I said if he was a boss in Sicily where the rules and laws are different- he would have been even more ruthless- he would have played the same game they do. I’m not saying the two areas are the same. I’m saying as far as America goes- Stanfa stands out as being one of those guys who pushes the envelope to the very limit of what’s acceptable in that life.

That stuff about cutting out the tongue and sending it to the wife - Stanfa’s Sicilian side coming out there. Supposed to leave family out of it in America. And that guy getting excited about the acid all over different body parts was pretty grim.

As sharp as "The Westside" was..."The Chin and Funzi" messed Philly up with the moves they made. Setting up Caponigro to take Bruno out, then him out and then putting that insane murderous paranoid "little" madman on the throne...shit just went downhill after. Stanfa wasn't much better at the end of the day, he had more rats runnin' around him than at the fountain ave dump. Just a big shit show..

John veasey wasn't no punk. Stanfa sent some goofys to whack him but they fumbled and he fought them off. And before stanfa was lil Nicky and the hunchback didn't back down from him. They had to resort to bitch shit like killing his brother who wasn't a member which was bogas What pussies

Love MobFax and OC. Haven’t watched The Sitdown. I’ll check that one out. The Mob Archaeologists is a new channel that is friggin awesome if you want top research on the early American Mafia, plus how it all links back to Sicily.
