Agreed. Customer service is crap. I ordered the PX6, had it for about a month and a half now and it been nothing but issues, from radio, to gps, to AC controls. Getting a hold of anyone to help is an uphill battle. I just wish I realized how much of a headache it would be before my 30 return expired. I will be ordering another stereo from a more reliable company

I saw a few videos on this and was kinda put off, but decided to go with it anyways. I don’t know if it’s the build quality or if it also depends on the car it’s being put on, but it works great on my 2014 Mustang GT. Zero input lag and Apple car play works great. There were some quirks but it came down to me not fully understanding the system. It’s still new so let’s see how it goes.

I currently have a Linear Power SQL competition system. I try to replace the head unit periodically to showcase new technology. My current head unit is the Kenwood Excelon DNX995S. It can read more that the 2tb hard drive I currently have connected to the head unit. I am wondering if this unit you are putting through the demo can do the same. I have been spoiled by the Kenwood and do not want to step too far backwards in the advantages the Kenwood has. Not only it's large read capabilities but also it has 4k display which is great because all my music in the hard drive ( currently over 38k songs) are also in MP4 so they all have the live concerts and music videos in full view when playing. I've had mine about a year now. Running nova launcher i have no problem whatsoever. I purchased built in wifi from att. My radio is great. I bought directly from Phoenix Automotive

Have one installed on my 250, I turned off the “background processes” and it runs much smoother and better. Also request an update. They gave me a zip file that I put on a thumb drive and it loads up right when you plug it in and install. Give that a whirl to help alleviate some of the quirks.

I gotta 2015 F-150, I also have this vertical screen installed and my screen doesn’t turn on half the time, especially when I first start up the truck, I feel your pain

Absolutely agree, looks good but quirky as heck, I can’t even get my sync screen up so I have to use a mustangs console, it’s the only way I have radio, if I’d have known, I wouldn’t have bought it

I am having the exact same problem with the system interfering with itself. It has wifi to pull internet but also needs to transmit wifi for CarPlay to work. You have to either use the wifi to use the apps or disable it and then CarPlay will work. I have to put it into airplane mode to use the internet on my phone. I am lucky to have not gotten into a car accident. Every phone call I have to turn my phone blueooth and wifi off since the bluetooth audio is so poor. The only possible solution would maybe be to buy a SIM card but not sure if that is a possibility or not.

Some of the problems can be avoided by installing a 3rd party launcher like Nova, I have made a few videos on this unit that might be helpful.

And you think you've had problems. My list is probably longer than yours. My vehicle is a fully loaded 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat. I purchased my Nightmare directly from Phoenix Automotive. The 12.1" PX6 Android 9 Fast Boot Nav/Radio unit with built-in Car Play Android Audio. You are absolutely correct when you say the Fords Sync3 fights with the PX6 system. I have no proper radio, the navigation on both no longer work because the vehicles compass is reversed, and can no longer identify your location. And don't even get me started on the "TOTAL LACK of Customer Support". There isn't any, NONE!, Zip!, Zero!. 2 Years have passed, and they haven't answered even one of my questions, let alone resolved one of my issues. Tech support is from the Philippines, and they have never installed a unit. How can they be expected to answer your questions when all they have is a prepared script of Q&A. Buyer.....BEWARE. The only real support you have for this product is KZfaq and Pharmaceutical’s

You are better than me because I would've gone apeshit and destroyed it with my shotgun. I just installed mine yesterday. I have had to reset it 3 or 4 times already. My original Navigation now says I need to install a SD card dont know why. You are 100 on quirky. So far I'm frustrated

You couldn’t of been more right in Describing this POS. Finally received it after 8 weeks. Now having issues like you wouldn’t believe. This should of never been released. Let’s not mention customer service, everyone passes the buck off on the next person. One day I was on hold 1.5hrs just to find out the status on my order. Run the opposite direction if you want a radio that works. If your doing it for looks, that would be the only time I’d recommend this $800 paper weight.

You think they were bad before? I bought mine during covid and paid for fast shipping. 6 months later, got it and nothing but trouble. Yeah I may can download a 3rd party app or work on it. BUT I PAID ALMOST A GRAND FOR A POS! I could have made a Walmart unit work with a 3rd party app. Long story short. Wish I seen this then. Because when the "Good" is even bad. Its sad.... BTW after nothing but trouble when I bought from the company that I did buy directly from. I mean. Worthless, they asked me to give them a good review. Lol I was already on BBB looking because my unit bounced around China like a ping pong ball for 5 months before getting to the US and the only good reviews I seen on there YT or their store online, was from people getting a refund. Not here to bash but I may drop a video on my experience and I guarantee you'll be thinking Aston Kutcher was gonna jump out and say, you got punked because it was all that crazy. I’m starting to see a trend here. It seems the ones who have the most issues are Ford owners. So maybe it’s the trucks components and not the radio? And I’m being 1000% dead serious, not a *insert brand* is better than Ford comment.

Everything you are saying happened to me and more... they are straight garbage of the tablets... Mine broke down after less than a year, and I had to threatened the company I bought the tablet from, that I am going to file complaints to send me the return labels to have it fixed or replaced..and now...they have my tablet for tow weeks now and I did not hear from them since...so...tablet is a garbage...and the customer service they just don't care...

Look at the vehicles these comments are coming from. 9/10 its a Ford. SYNC does NOT play well with others. Never has. The canbus always has issues talking to the vehicle. Ford Sync it self is shit. It has caused issues with aftermarket components since its consumption. The only ones that seem to work are from companies theat seem to work hand and hand with Ford.

there is a guy on facebook that has created a custom rom that supposedly fixes almost all issues. I don't have one, but I was looking into it.

I just purchased one and its horrible. Nothing works right. Radio stays on with no off button. Hotspot turns on and off at will. So you loose navigation every few minutes. What a waste of money.

1. You have one Bluetooth connection obdII with ELM... you can see the RPM and speed info. 2. I think you need advanced knowledge about your car before starting the install

The China Android radios they like they like to lie . Like a lot of them say their Android 10 but really they're running Android 7.0 and they lie and they say that it's 10. That's why when you buy a radio that's Chinese you go on KZfaq and you type the brand and those people better have a KZfaq channel that shows them how to like shows you how to work the radio. Joyingis an good ones d so is Binize . They have a lot of KZfaq videos and they show you how to set it up and whatnot and they speak English.
