Photos to 3D Models in Vectorworks

Easily create 3D models of a pre-existing structure. Simply snap a series of photos with a mobile device and use the Vectorworks Nomad app to send that data directly to Vectorworks Cloud Services to process and create the 3D model from your photos!

When importing .obj file, with .jpg and .mtl file in same folder, I only get a grey scale mesh in VW. When I import .obj and check both "import transparency and ..." and "Create renderworks textures..." boxes, I get the full image - mesh with textures etc. The second check box ("create renderworks textures....") was not checked in the video - I'm wondering, is there a difference between VW 18 and 19 in this respect? Thanks for the video and any answers greatly appreciated :-)

(2) in "Slicex" you could create New Drum Loops and softs in any order from different slices. And keep the loop slices playing in and

In order have the 3D model show more of the surrounding, what steps would I have to take? Fly further away? Or do two passes, one close, one further away? What I am really looking for is a 3D of the surrounding, for renderings from inside the model. The advantage is real shadow, including trees.. Any tips?

I realize this is an older video and there may be more current ones, but a question: using VW 2024 and following the procedure for creating a model as described in this video, I don't see that a point cloud file created. Is that a settings issue or am I missing a step in the process?

Does this work on internal geometry of a space? For instance, I need to a a 3D model of a venue I work at reguarly, can I take a similar set of pictures inside the venue and make a reference model that way?

It will work but it is not optimized for this at the moment. We plan to advance the tech further in future iterations to accommodate interior spaces as well as smaller object scanning to capture people or items furniture for example.

Dear vectorworks Team, would it be possible to make a vidoe about how to import a World Image File in order to georeference an aerial image= I know there a various ways during the importing process and it would be extremely helpful if you guys could make a little introduction on how to handle this? Thanks for your videos!

I downloaded soft soft but uninstalled later because I don't know how to work it or anytNice tutorialng. I'm actually tNice tutorialnking of downloading it again
