I’ve owned two Subarus over the yrs. All I can say is that my 2017 has been literally great!! Subaru of America support awesome out here in Arizona. Love my little billy goat Crosstrek! Great Value🫡

I am approaching 450 miles on my Crosstrek Wilderness. My dislikes are the HK Audio causes a vibration/buzzing in the passenger front door at times when there is a lot of bass in a song, the lack of a steering wheel warmer, and no 12V outlet in the hatch area. I love the ride, the seats are very comfortable, the visibility is excellent, it handles so great and has a tight turn radius, it goes over road imperfections like they're not there, and since I drove off the lot with 5 miles on the odometer - I have averaged 27.1 mpg (almost double what I was getting with the '22 Frontier 4x4).

Intersting that you bring up the HK audio. I'm not a radio person and don't listen to music while I drive, but there are a few journalists who brought up the fact that Crosstrek gets the "premium" HK audio while Outback does not. 🤔 Guess there was a reason for that ...
@godwhomismike
@godwhomismike 10 ай бұрын
@@jillciminillo The HK Audio was a $2270 option, which is 10-speakers and 432W amplifier. It does sound good, but they never tested to make sure that it would not rattle/vibrate the plastic door panels, which is what I think is happening. I think they should have never put the subs in the front doors and instead did mid and highs in the dash and doors, and put an 8" subwoofer in the hatch and did away with one of those useless cupholders in the corners of the hatch.

I second the lack of a heated steering wheel and forward camera - seems like a big miss in a "Wilderness"-type vehicle. You get the heated wheel standard in Canada, and on other Crosstrek trims there. The folks at Subaru need a geography refresher - you're not in Florida once you cross the border into the US! So note to Subaru: The majority of your US customers live where there are pine trees, not palm trees.

I have a 2018 Crosstrek Touring. I also have a 2018 Honda CRV Touring. The Subaru has navigation so does the CRV. The poor outdated graphics in the Subaru are a huge letdown. The graphics in the CRV are first class all the way. I cannot help but be let down on the HUGE difference between the Crosstreks graphics vs the Hondas. That being said the rest of my 2018 Touring is fantastic. It actually has more ground cllearance than the much taller CRV. The Subaru gets off the line MUCH better than the turbo Honda. The AWD X mode in the Subaru is nothing short of world beating. The Hondas AWD system is also first class but falls short of the X mode. It takes the CRV a few seconds to tell it needs to apply power differently. The CRV gets an amazing 26 MPG no matter how hard I push it. The Crosstrek is close. I was going to buy the new CRV with its more sedate design but it still has the same powertrain. I really like the 2024 Crosstrek a lot. It has 4.11 gears which in its size class is near unheard of. In the end I am very curious with what Subaru is going to do for 2025.

Mediocre review at best, If you're going to review a new off road type vehicle tell the viewers what makes it different... We all can see cosmetic differences but come on , what about the new body clad panels? Why didn't you tell the audience the way they're constructed if one gets dinged or damaged you don't have to replace the entire panel, you can just fix the section that's damaged?? Why didn't you go over the upscaled rear differential settings? Why didn't you go over the upgraded transmission cooler? These things matter. You can't see these items but these items are what's going to make the off-road part of this vehicle more capable, not hand warmers, or cup holders or navigation.....next time research a little more.....

Thanks for the feedback‼️🤓👏🏾👋🏽🤌🏻 bringing things to the attention‼️ that most will not mention. I currently live north of Boston, but I am from Chicago:(basically a metropolitan:) they{ are not }wilderness areas~Boston & Chicago, nor are they cities with a lot of depth and rough elevation.(the main thing the Subaru Crosstrek wilderness is missing-IS THE Approach angle, the departure angle is excellent, but the front end hangover is to exaggerator, I believe there is a BAJA lift kit that would reduce the forward hangover about 4 inches and lift it about 5 inches, and the light system and forward grill.🕊️💙 That’s what’s really needed when there is a snow storm🥶😶‍🌫️😱 and windy,& going over curbs that you/we are not sure; if there’s a hi-curb,or some other striking object, they usually intersect in a major City blizzard. Thanks Miss,JiLL• be blessed.
