nice video Trev. 10.5 +45 is what I have on mine and it indeed needed to shave the arm a bit.

@@TheAussieShed I am running 315/30/18. If you have facebook I send some photos. I did have pull the fender just like you did, but the fit was OEM like.

10,5" +45 is exactly what i got on my Z32. Needed to shave the control arms slightly. Was rubbing on the arms when cornering.

I have a few questions. 1/ Can you discuss the wheels - I've only ever had one piece wheels, these multi piece wheels are new to me and I don't understand why one would bother. 2/What are the considerations for camber for the rears? Why aren't these perfectly vertical? 3/ If the wheel width is about max grip, why would you go max width when this just reduces psi between tyre and road? Sorry just an ignoramus who'd like to know.

G'day Ben, geez, thats a lot to unpack, firstly on the wheels, Automotive wheels come in many different construction types, styles, construction materials etc. Single Piece, 2 piece, 3 piece, Steel, forged, cast, mixes of both or all. It would be best to Google these terms as there are many advantages & disadvantages to each type. As far as Camber & Tire Size go, its all about the Size & quality of the Contact patch. Bigger & Stickier is always better & keeping it in good even contact with the road surface is the desired outcome. Static Camber is what I was talking about with the rears, pretty much all IRS rear suspensions run a certain amount of static negative rear camber, just like independent front suspension does. Solid rear axles on the other hand are generally set at Zero, this makes them inferior for circuit racing. Camber also changes throughout suspension travel to compensate for vehicle roll by a predetermined amount known as Camber Gain. The Camber Gain Curve is usually unique to a particular model of car & type of suspension. This is a very broad & simplified explanation of these concepts so again I would recommend Googling some of these terms for a more in depth explanation. This is a Massive Rabbit Hole to go down. Basically all of the above is about maximizing the contact patch through all road conditions. "PSI between the tyre & road", sorry cant help you there Mate, never heard of it. Cheers.

@@TheAussieShed That was awesome response (thanks!!)- I thought you might take it up as an idea for a video or two, but I guess that would take you off the purpose of this video series. I'll do some googling for sure. PSI - I don't know what to call it but I was referring to the pressure between each square inch of contact patch and the road - pounds per square inch - a badly used analogy - sorry. But you answered that - more patch, softer rubber.
