On the 17th of July 2023, I had the pleasure to fly to Funchal airport in Madeira Portugal! Funchal is a C -field airport, which means it is a captains only landing & takeoff airport. The captain has performed simulator and line training special training in order to fly this approach. My colleague showed me how it was done and taught me alot about the approach and landing procedures, while flying into Funchal. This was an amazing experience for me, and I was happy to fly with such a nice and experienced captain.
