I would guess it's because there are more roads in densely populated cities. More roads = more data points/locations to choose from?

Compared with the Geoguessr series he's played with Sinvicta, there seems to be a lot fewer Brazil and Russia guesses out in the middle of nowhere, so I'm guessing that they changed the algorithm for Duels.

@@SeeMyDolphin my only guess is the algorithm the developers used for the game wasnt optimized to just pick any location from google street view.
