Liqui Moly Ceratec Test
The test is to show how effectively the addition of Ceratec oil protects the engine from scratching.
The pure Aloe Vera Liqui 4100 top tec 5W40 had the following result:
- 0.11 (sample 3.50) • Liqui Moly 4100 top te... and score - 0.18 (sample 2.92) www.youtube.com/watch?v = yWmlGVgqKQA
Liqui Moly 4100 top tec 5W40 with Ceratec has a score of - 0.05.
It gives us the following results:
- sample 3.50. 0.11 - 0.05 = 0.06!
- sample 2.92. 0.18 - 0.05 = 0.13!
Summarizing:
Does Ceratec Liqui Moly really work?
Yes. As you can see it increases the oil's abrasion resistance - it reduces the metal's friction with metal.

La prueba tiene demasiados fallos, empezando por el metal que se compara, el acero que usa es balndo y en cualquier condición se descagstara, lo otro las condiciones del motor internamente hace que no pierda aceite, siempre está lubricado si el sistema está en óptimas condiciones y tu experimento boto todo el aceite en los primeros giros

I used Cera Tec in a Prince Engine, and I lend my car to my friend during a track day, I noticed the oil pressure dropped considerably the next day (0.3 bar in engine and 0 bar to turbo when rolling the car to a stop), then I reviewed the data log which shown that my friend cooked my oil to 140+C 5 times! That means my friend raced my car with completely broken down oil for at least 15 mins, then I drove it for another day. I was expecting the worst, but the car seems fine after I changed engine oil, an simple cam inspection didn't show any obvious sign of wear.

Hello, it makes sense to use liqui moly ceratec with a motul 8100 x-clean+ 5W30, the car has passed 235.000km, it is vw 2.0 cr tdi. The only reason for ceratec using is the motor protection. I doubt that since the motul 8100 x-clean+ 5W30 is a full synthetic oil and the ceratec is mineral, do not degrade the motul oil?

Es un muy buen y eficaz producto antifriccion, pero para q la prueba sea al 100% deberías de añadir la cantidad proporcional de aditivo -aceite teniendo en cuenta q estamos hablando de un bote pequeño diluido en 5 o 6 litros de aceite ...

Ceratek nie powinno się zalewać co każdą wymianę oleju tylko co 3 czy 4 wymianę. Czyli średnio co 30 do 40 tys. km. Tak zaleca producent. Działa przez około 50 tys. km. pomimo stosowania płukanek. Te informacje można znaleźć na stronie producenta.

Ceratec is designed to be used while under extreme pressure and temperature loads. In other words, it is designed to be used in combination with engine oil inside of an engine. What you are doing is testing a small portion of Ceratec (the solid lubricant MOS2), to determine its wear reduction. Put simply, the product isn't able to display its purported unique characteristics because of the test conditions.

Piotr, here in the USA, a very common Gas to Liquid "GTL" engine oil, is Quaker State Ultimate Durability full synthetic 5w30 (QSUD). I use this oil exclusively, as many Americans do. Myself, and many of my friends are wondering if adding Ceratec really does help the lubricity and wear resistance of Quaker State Ultimate Durability. If you happen to find the time, a comparison of plain "QSUD" 5w30 and then with Ceratec added to compare, is something a lot of Americans and Canadians would love to see.

It works very well. Mine is a ford diesel car and initially there wasnt much a difference but after a 1000km driving ceratec seems to work. Engine is smooth and also noticed quick acceleration. Mileage wise there isn't a huge difference.

Just to point out, in your previous test Amsoil 0w30 signature series was 0.06 without any extra additive vs 0.05 from Ligui-Moly with Ceratec. I think numbers don't lie that Amsoil is real stuff. By the way if you got chance , would be great to see how BMW 5w30 "LL04" oil will perform in your test.

independientemente por la medición de desgaste entre amsoil y ceratec , nunca vas a comparar la resistencia de un lubricante solido a un lubricante normal. resistencia termica extremas. con una fuga de aceite o una rotura de carter....chao aceite... y chao motor , pero con un lubricante solido como el ceratec puedes salvar tu motor. es decir sigue siendo muy bueno y efectivo.

TDDi (diesel) - z tym silnikiem nie miałem problemu, wlałem i w zasadzie wszystko jest git, jednak nie zauważyłem jakiejś większej różnicy. Za to duratec (benzynka), w którym to silnik lubi sobie wypić olej bo zapiekają się w nim pierścienie... no tu właśnie jestem zaskoczony, spalanie oleju, co nie powinno się stać spadło. Pytanie o ile? Jeszcze nie wiem, nie dolewałem od miesiąca.

@@bart0633 dolewki były rzadsze ale nie mam już tego auta. Chciałem w nim wypłukać pierścienie naftą ale niestety do zabiegu nie doszło, akurat w tamtym modelu zapiekanie pierścieni było normą. Teoretycznie wypłukanie ich naftą i zalanie go lepszym olejem, powinno mocno ukrócić ten proces, jak są już zapieczone, to lanie lepszego oleju raczej nie wyeliminuje problemu całkowicie, dlatego ostatecznością będzie wymiana pierścieni. Niestety, nie mam możliwości sprawdzenia, czy płukanie naftą byłoby tak bardzo skuteczne.

Hello i m from greece.. I use to my audi A3 model 2000 liqui moly 10/40 and ceratek... We put out the head casket and the crankshaft and the car has 5000 km... Both of them were like brand new without frictions...

Im never ever 100% sold on liqui moly or other branded "mechanic in a bottle" types, but i will say out of selling and using liqui moly products for a very long time, they seem to be the better unicorn dust of the lot. I once got my ae92r 4age corolla on the rollers, i just bought the car and was a stolen recovered car that was haggered to death. Blew constant smoke and was never serviced well... made 68kw atw after its fifth run and added one whole can of ceratec, to my eyes i saw 70kw atw suddenly and consistently after. May have been the worn clearances enjoying it or the ceratec actually working. But regardless, with some logic and realism towards any product they should make a difference.

Concentration of friction and load is at one single point....Instead of needle try using plate....Spherical plate would be better to get similar condition like piston-cylinder....hope you understand... Please try it ASAP.. Please note that there is Spherical plate or Spherical pipe of diameter atleast 10mm also the axis of both specimen and rotating shaft must be perpendicular to each other....I am waiting to see results...

Każdy dodatek testowany ma być docelowo min. dwukrotnie - na zimno i po rozgrzaniu do 100°C. Parę dodatków ma już zrobione pod dwa takie testy, jednak większość jeszcze tylko testy na zimno. It simply works. The hard, glass-like coat over the cylinder scoring is so tough - you'd need a belt sander or reciprocating screwdriver tip to break it off....

nie rozumiem tej instrukcji cerateca, ile się tego dolewa? 6% zawartości w litrze czyli 60mll na litr? to 240mll na 4litry oleju?

To jak to jest z tym dodawaniem ile na 4 litry oleju wchodzi i jak mamay 4 litry oleju czy dodatkowe 300ml nie wpływa źle na silnik? Z doświadczenia dolewając Xado 1 Stage Maximum, kóre jesst lepsze od Cerateca, jedynym efektem jest cichsze uruchamianie silnika, spalanie w ogóle nie spadło, dynamika się trochę zwiększyła, tot takie plusy, po wymianie na nowy olej efekty osłabły więc chyba lepiej lać dobry lub nawet tani olej i go częściej wymieniać.

You need to test these additives in an environment they should be used in i.e an engine.

Przedstawiony test nie może być uznany za wiarygodny. Zadaniem ceratecu jak i jemu podobnym preparatom np. ceramizer jest wejście w reakcje cząsteczek kwarcu z cząsteczkami metalu pod wpływem wysokiej temp i czasu. Więc pytam co ten test pokazuje ? :)

Hmm... Oczywiście po części ma Pan racje... dlatego też przed testem, próbka jest mocno podgrzewana + podgrzewana dodatkowo w naczyniu. Oczywiście, zdaje sobie sprawę że nie są to idealne warunki odzwierciedlające warunki pracy oleju i dodatku w silniku, ale jakiś punkt zaczepienia można z tego wywnioskować. Nie mniej jednak, dziękuje za konstruktywną opinie.

Yes, you can use Ceratec, but there is a lot of better oil additive in the same price.

Nie chodzi o ścieranie tylko o poslizg (opory toczenia). jak jakiś dodatek spowoduje że, tłok w cylindrze pod ciężarem korbowodu spadnie na dół to wtedy ma to sens. Jeszcze nie widziałem takiego czegoś z wyjątkiem castrol magnatec takie coś zrobił "wykasował opory" ale były nieszczelne zawory i temp. uciekała . Po zrobieniu głowicy za 30 km cały film olejowy znikł i opory wzrosły.

Wymiana co 10 tys. i wszystko w jak najlepszym porządku będzie. Co do castrola to opinie są nieciekawe w necie wiem o tym ale nikt nie pisze skąd się wzięły tylko każdy pisze że słyszał a ja ci powiem. Przeważnie był lany na wymianach z beczki a w beczkach nie koniecznie był castrol bo wymieniający kombinowali i dalej kombinują niestety to standard u nas. Dlatego nigdy nie bierze się oleju z beczki tylko kupuje w oryginalnym opakowaniu a najlepiej w Niemczech. Jaka to oszczędność z beczki parę złotych śmieszne jak dla mnie. Bo na rynku niemieckim mów nie mów są lepszej jakości towary nie tylko czekolada kawa itd. Znam osoby co mają nalatane ponad 600 tys. na castrolu i wszystko jest w jak najlepszym porządku ani turbosprężarki nie robili ani egr nie czyścili . Cały czas trasy Polska Niemcy stąd te duże przebiegi. Sam mam od nowości Golfa 5 1,9 TDI i nalatane ponad 275tys, i też nic nie robiłem poza profilaktyczną wymianą panewek na korbowodach. Jeżdżę co prawda na LM 4100 silnik bez DPF kupowanym w Niemczech bo do sprzedających u nas nie mam jakoś zaufania. Jak by był taki kiepski Castrol to silniki powinny być na złomie nie sądzisz? Niestety u nas wiele ludzi kupuje na portalach aukcyjnych wiadomo jakich i trafiają niestety na podróbki które to naprawdę ciężko laikowi odróżnić od oryginału a potem psy wieszają na oleju. Taka jest przykra prawda.

I Just put it in my silverado with mobile 1 full synthetic extra life it has 190 on the engine and I notice a big difference

Habe ein ähnliches Produkt angewendet . Ich habe es meinem Getriebe hinzugefügt. Nach kurzer Zeit haben die Simmeringe den Geist aufgegeben und das Getriebeöl verloren. Ein Zusammenhang? Gibt es eine Garantie, dass die Dichtungen nicht angegriffen werden?

its a nice test okey but there is a big diffrence between oil with ceratec video and oil without ceratec video. oil without ceratec video you just put the oil and start but at oil with ceratec video you warm up the oil and ceratec before starting the machine.. soo i guess it makes different results..

@@unnainconnu9098 I ran boric acid in my bronco for a decade that vehicle now has close to 600,000 miles on it I drove it forever and then give it to someone who needed a vehicle and they drove it for many years after that I have no idea where it’s at now

I had problmes with my BMW 40d X5 diesel, strange rattle from the motor while accelerating. I filled in the Ceratec and after some kilometers it became 90% better. this stuff works.

BG MOA is a product which makes the oil reduce the friction between metals, like the one you have tested. And, based on many published results they said the product will perform very well with Shell helix ultra ECT 5w-30. Thanks Again bro :)
